Most people tell you not to talk about politics and religion, but I’ve had amazing success discussing these things. If you know a lot about something, girls will pick up on your intellect and be fascinated by you if you can teach them something interesting, thought provoking, and useful.
This shows you’re smart.
Though ‘serious’ issues are my preference, though in a totally ‘non serious’ way, other things to talk about are current events, music, movies, tv shows, local issues, eating (if you know a lot about health, girls love to hear about how different foods affect you). Upcoming concerts are a great topic, or concerts you have seen before. Odds are if you are a concert-goer, you’ll have seen someone she adores.
This shows you’re up to date, that you’re not caught up in the past, and that you go out and experience life.
But the real cherry on top of any conversation, is dropping a few crazy party stories, either about yourself or even about friends, feel free to exaggerate a bit. Making them humorous and really acting things out makes a big impact on the reaction a girl will have.
This shows you’re fun and outgoing and have a good time.
SEX!!! Girls fucking LOVE talking about sex. It is a fine line though, because you can come off a little trigger happy in the pants, but asking them what they think about sexual acts/issues, or anything to do with the battle of the sexes. I’d save talking about sex/sexuality for girls you’ve known for a few weeks or so though.
This shows you know how to please her, try to keep it low-profile, so just to simply ‘suggest’ you know what you’re doing, and not brag about it.
I think having variety in conversation to SUBLIMINALLY demonstrate how ‘rounded’ you are is important.
People like COLORFUL talk, voice inflection is important. Monotone=bad. Be mildly enthusiastic at the least, to full out enthusiastic.
All that said, it’s important to remember that one thing leads to another, and you have to be perceptive of what’s going on in the conversation so one topic will lead to another.
Talk is cheap though, if you really wanna get a good reaction, get her off her ass and be interactive with what’s going on around you.
Edit:: But yeah I agree with Mikoto that that is the best way to START a conversation. It’s good to have your own list of topics, and you’ll figure out what works and what doesn’t with practice. Just go out and talk to people, make it your goal to talk to 10-50 people, progressively, over the summer, every day. Or make a weekly quota of 100-300 people you talked to, even just a simple 2 minute conversation, and keep track at the end of the day what gets good reactions.
Everyone’s the same, but different. You’ll figure it out in no time.
