Gas prices coming down...

hey everone i was just wondering how the gas prices are around the world? in the US the price has droped almost 2 dollars a gallon, how has the prices changed where u live?

And still some of the cheapest gas in the world!!

Over here in the UK its dropped. It used to be £1.20 a litre, its now down to 0.94 a litre.

It’s $2.29/gallon here in Nothern Jersey - bout time too…

it’s just normal business cycles guys. It’s always more expensive during summer and cheaper during winter. same thing with the stock market too.

They put gas and stocks on sale in winter because they make great stocking stuffers.

But hey, I’m grateful for the gas thing. I used to love driving around and exploring, but for the past few years doing so has felt repressive. I hope I see it go down here in California, too.

Taco bell? now that’s some cheap gas…
and it powers a hybrid-
World’s First Hybrid Motorcycle

True prices fall in the fall but not typically $1.50 a gallon
It sucks, Diesel prices are only down $0.50

I like drives in the country, and still take them when I can, at 45-50MPG I can still do it in my car, and the twisty back roads are so much fun this time of year…

BTW- you can put some Androtics stocks in my stocking…

muahahaha

in germany it was around 1.40 Euros/litre for a long time which is about $6.80/gallon and it dropped to 1.20 Euros/litre which is about $5.77/gallon now - wow — price drop ~ $1

its a similar price as stoiker reported from GB - yeah those crazy europeans - gas is called liquid gold here — we even buy gas as a birthday gift for our beloved ones :open_mouth:

keep on driving - as long as it is that cheap in the US

Back in the late '70’s the government had funded a program to make gas out of coal. The program was ready to go commercial in 1980 when Ronald Ray Gun became President and killed the program. Just think how independent of foreign oil we would be today if the program hadn’t been killed.

Actually there are a couple of companies that do Coal Dieselifacation and Coal gasification
The diesel is nasty stuff, cokes my car’s intake and is really terrible running sludge. I have run some from time to time without realizing it.

2 dolllllars!! Yes !

$2.09/gallon here in jersey YAYYYYYYYYYY

45-50 my god!! my trans am gets about 7-8 miles a gallon and its my daily driver untill it snows then my old beater truck that gets 13 miles a gallon… ya europe gas is more expensive but the cars they drive get better mileage the US is stuck driving big old V8’s and i love it lol

my Diesel is a lot of fun
I get 25-30 MPG racing, and better than 55 cruising on the highway.

I think I read somewhere that the eurpean government taxes their gas around 75% that’s why it costs more then we pay. And I thought our gov. taxed us good!!

My mothers side of the familly comes from Belgium… Recently a relative passed away and my mother, aunt, and uncle were left some money. The belgian government taxes the money 60%… then it gets sent to my mother, aunt, and uncle here in the US… where it gets taxed again I believe… LOL unbelievable

Yet the Belgium’s can come over here and buy our beer companies for penny for them.
the Budweiser buyout still chafes me…
