Going to Massachusetts to Party for a Week

I’m going to Amherst, MA for a week in April to visit a friend who is studying at uni there.

Things I’m looking forward to:

  • Seeing how the people of Amherst like to party.
  • Teaching the children how to play beer pong at the proper length.
  • Eating lots of good food.
  • Testing my skills and my mones on the ladies :stuck_out_tongue:

Things I’m not looking forward to:

  • Not being able to drink proper beer.
  • Vomiting.

Anyone know places/things to do in Amherst?

Amherst is a gay/lesbian college city…it sucks if you believe in any morality whatsoever but Mass is a liberal toilet, but for someone from Europe it probably wont be too much different, ie socialist, communists and marxists doing what they do best, confiscation of personal wealth for redistribution and if you hate freedom, self-governance or the US Constitution, Mass is the place to be…

Ya, Europian beer is a lot better from what I have heard…I hate American beer, except maybe Sam Adams Cherry Wheat…Amherst is a college town but it is the epicenter for gay and lesbian activism and if you believe in morals or values it will likely disgust you, but if your a socialist, communist or marxist , love private confiscation of wealth for redistribution to those who are leeches, and hate freedom,self-governance the US Constitution, Amherst is the place for you…

Why have all the homosexual people gone to Amherst when it’s clearly not for the place for them? It’s doesn’t make sense…

We’re also spending the first night in Boston which I’m looking forward to.

And you’re wrong about Europe, we’re not oppressed communists, we’re oppressed capitalists.

Actually, most of Europe has policies that favor the citizens over “Big Business”. There are some Americans that see that as “Socialism” and think the “American Way” is to favor business interests to the determent of the good of the citizens. In other words, they favor unregulated Darwinian Capitalism.

I was kidding.

Regardless of the political/economic doctrine, I’m sure I’ll have fun in Amherst and Boston.

I’m sure you will.

WOW! Things got pretty serious in your lounge thread! :open_mouth:

I’ve heard tell from family that the Farm Barn in Essex is a cool place for lunch or dinner with live music.

Partying for a week… Sound like you’ve got happy times waiting for you!!

OOPS! Don’t know how I double posted…

“proper beer” meaning room-temperature beer? :stuck_out_tongue:
dude, have fun in Boston, soak up the Irish!

I have a friend who went to ZooMass and wow whenever I visited I had a great time. I don’t know about the gay/lesbian crowd, but the way I see it I like everybody untill they give me something not to like them about anymore.

If somebody wants to be gay that means more women for me. A nice handshake to thank them is always in store. All my friends are very liberal but we are still friends and when we discuss politics we do it with respect for each others beliefs. I happen to consider myself pretty conservative when it comes to politics. Stay out of my life and less is better. Which leads me to say what the heck is wrong with people wanting to be happy together? So what if they are gay or lesbian.

Anyway coming from a conservative guy I enjoyed immensely all the times I had up at the Zoo. Life is rich and full of happiness if you are looking for it. Those looking for strife and hatred will just as easily find that too. Happiness has better parties

In a strange stroke of luck a guy at my new place of work (about 10 people work there) is from Northampton, MA. He knows Boston and Amherst well, I’ll be getting plenty of tips off him!

Tell us what worked out for you! Then, you can provide first had recommendations to US!!!
