Do you think that approach will work well with Instant Jerk? They seem well suited.
I imagine the IJ would definately help out. I myself haven’t tried the opener yet but will soon. I can only see this working in a bar/club environment. Certainly not on the street. 
It really is quite simple. You lock eyes with a girl you like. It’s possible you haven’t even met her yet. She could be walking up to you on the pavement - sidewalk, for you US guys - and seeing you for the first time.
If you like her, let it show in your eyes. If you think, ‘Phwoar, she’s a bit of alright!’, let it show. Your pupils dilate when you find someone attractive and research has proven many times that people in photographs doctored to make the pupils bigger are rated as much more attractive than those whose pupils are normal size.
Don’t break the contact until she does and whatever you do, don’t do this if you feel aggressive for whatever reason. She can tell and it makes her run.
At worst, you’ll get a polite nod and a ‘Hello’. That’s your cue right there. Talk to her, lover boy. 
If you’re lucky, you’ll get a smile and other IOIs, such as tucking her hair behind her ear.
I’ve had women out walking snap their heads round to keep me in sight when I do the eye opener.
It’s good for shy guys who want to build confidence approaching women on the street, but don’t feel that good talking to them yet. People are often in a hurry to get from A to B and a brief greeting and smile is often all you get. But that’s all a shy guy needs to start building confidence.
‘A woman smiled at me! Yes!’
Us more advanced guys just get a kick out of the reactions we get.
