I recently saw the Got2b Magnetik hair gel, both in commercials and on store shelves. The ingredient list says it contains Androstadienone, the active ingredient in IFM. Is this hair gel any good? Before I’ve read site, I would have fallen for the advertising in a heartbeat, but now I’m skeptical. On one hand, it’s a real pheromone, but on the other hand, just how good can a mass-marketed consumer product be? Just for the records, I’m already aware of the fact that Androstadienone can make women feel cuddly and cozy, and make men depressed.
Has anyone on this site had any experience, good or bad, with the Got2b Magnetic hair gel? And what kind of hits did you get?
Thing about that review you posted, is that she’s also saying the pheromoneswe believe in are hype. Sooo, who do we believe? Her? Naw. I say use the skills you have learned here and from these products to then make your own opinion regarding that product.
thing is with the hair gel even if it does contain the pheromone theres no way of knowing the concentration of the mone or how it diffuses in a hair gel not to mention the amount you would need to put on presumably not alot as people have different hair lengths it would need to work from very short hair to longer hair. So you would need different hair length gels and also they would need to tell you how much to put in to get hits off it.
I’ve tried it before just for kicks, and because I thought it smelled good and also because I’ve always been curious about pheromones. However, that was way before I got into Androtics so I wasn’t knowledgeable as I am now thanks to the help of this fabulous message board.
OK, so here’s the thing, I really don’t like it because it doesn’t hold your hair quite well unless you put on a lot of it, as I like to make my hair spiky and messy looking. So for me this was a no go; now as far as the effects go honestly my people watching skills and “hit” reading wasn’t what it is now considering I wasn’t on the board back then so I knew nada about what to expect. However, trying hard to look back I didn’t really see much, maybe a few glances here and there but was it the product? Honestly, I can’t say because I consider the times I wore this hair gel corrupted/contaminated experiences because I wasn’t knowledgeable enough to know what the hell I was doing and looking for. This was also my first time trying Androstadienone, and my last (besides whatever is/was in other pheromone mixes I have then recently tried) so I don’t really have much experience with it as a standalone product.
So there you go bud, plus if you happen to fall asleep with the hair gel on your pillow case will be a mess! Ack.
Thing is Tisha brought up a good point once. Gel hardens, and if the Androstadienone is in the gel then it too will harden. How will it diffuse? Unless it breaks down that barrier, but other than that I don’t know.
I spray pheromones on top of already hardened gel, but that’s on top of that. In a way this is one of the reasons why I have moved on to pomade type of hair products. However, if you spray pheromones on top of already set in hair gel or pomade I like to think that it will still diffuse because it’s not cemented in.
I’ve not seen it or used it but I’ll bet my bottom dollar it contains the Chinese A1 that Jasmin refers to as ‘less than stellar quality’. Now, bearing in mind Androtic’s concerns about using top quality A1 in the future for the mass market ( as opposed to us educated individuals in here!), do you really want to be using some substandard A1 on your hair?
I have experimented with the Got2b Magnetik and one side effect I have noticed is that there is a feeling of calmness and lack of fear when approaching females. There was also some nervousness but the nervousness was ever so subtle and completely overshadowed by a lot of confidence and calmness. It feels good. However, there haven’t been many hits. But this girl who hardly ever pays me attention totally made a big deal about seeing me yesterday and hugged me to the point that her friend even said why didn’t I get she hug like that. (Note: I put an EXTREME amount of gel in that day to see what would happen.) So far, that has been one of the few side effects. I totally can’t wait to get ahold of some A314 and Ammo. I just need to get some cash and wait for the gift certificate. The gel itself isn’t really that good though, but then again when I use gel I like something that is like concrete. It smells good though. I hope to continue putting it in my hair and updating you guys on what happens.
This is very true, I’ve been training myself not to listen to the anxiety that comes with the approach, which sometimes is still a little hard (though I usually don’t care.) The past few nights when I’ve been using this have been insane. It definitely does help big time.
Thanks, I actually found it at Walgreens of all places. Tried it tonight and this girl I met up with wouldn’t stop playing with my hair. That was about an hour and a half after application. That’s unusual for her.
Just picked up a tube of Got2B and will try it tomorrow with a lady friend. Underneath will be the usual NPA overdose that she loves. Got it at Walgreens.
Unfortunately, I am rather sensitive to the male depressive effects of A-1 so I’ll be on the guard for that undesirable side effect.
I doubt a sticky hair gel would diffuse much if at all. As low as the mone content is I think Dial Magnetic if done with a very cold rinse would be more effective.
I have been using this gel and wax for long time now and never noticed anything. I think it’s just waste of money, the gel itself for hair is not good it has really weak hold and make hair oily. If you need product for hair which has strong hold, don’t buy this.
I used the dial magnetik soap mainly because I do like the smell. however, I’ve just come to the realization that if I want the hits from A1 that I like, its best just to buy it and mix my own than to rely on these products. If it helps, even just a little, then fine. I don’t think I’ll ever try the gel though, I like the Axe line of hair care products.
