I’m doing a rotation in a lab for my first year in graduate school. We’re studying the olfactory sensory neurons in mammals, including humans. Traditionally it was thought that non-human animals such as mice and cats sensed pheromones through the VNO, and since humans don’t have a VNO, well, no human pheromones. However, research has found that mice do sense some pheromones through the Main Olfactory Epithelium as well. So if they do, can we? That is the question my laboratory is researching.
The two most well-known and studied human pheromone candidates are Estratetraenol and Androstadienone. Both have been found to activate activity in the hypothalamus by way of the olfactory sensory neurons, and androstadienone has been found to change women’s cortisol levels.
In our lab, we look at the molecular signaling pathways in neurons, so precisely how the chemosensory messages get sent from these steroids to the brain are of interest.
This has made me very interested overall in things like aromatherapy for relaxation and mood enhancement, and how we might sniff out suitable partners – some research has suggested that we pick people by scent who may actually be most genetically compatible with us so we can have the healthiest offspring. There is also some animal evidence that the more you stimulate your olfactory neurons, the longer they live. Olfactory neurons are some of the few that humans can regenerate throughout their lives.

I was eager to take on the pheromone research project because there’s actually an ongoing joke/rumor that the women in our family have strong pheromones. We end up with younger and/or better looking men than ourselves.
Hopefully not too personal: I had two former boyfriends who got along with me famously in person and horrifically long-distance. Both said they loved the way I smell. (My theory is that human pheromones are actually secreted from the neck around the ears.) You should bottle my pheromones. And I should figure out how to be equally attractive without the help of my magic scent.
I don’t do smalltalk easily, though, and avoid hanging out with people in groups. As a scientist, I have to say I’m leaning on the side of believing your pheromone products act like placebos/magic feathers for instilling confidence. But I’m always game to try something new. Ishine is primarily TAA which is the code used for that particular molecule. Androtics is a research and development lab. The smart mones store helps fund part of there research and the forum here is part of there research project. They do not reveal the clinical names to the most of the molecules. You may want to give Steve or Jasmin a call in the office. They may help you out with your research if they can. I am not saying they will give you the clinical names but they can explain better what Pherotalk and Androtics is all about to you.

Ishine is a great product and one of the favorites here among the users. It says for men on it but its unisex and women love it to so this is a good one to try out.
EST and A1 you wont find here because they are under patent by another company EROX right now and cant be used in a mix. Since Androtics develops mixes with there research its not cost effective for them to sell it here and a lot of research is being done on those two already
There are a handful of pheromones by clinical name in the advanced section of the store that may interest you. Anol Bnol anone arone so you could start your testing there.
On a personal level if I could use the products to improve my mood (especially in the mornings, I’m a night person) and focus (just reading about TAF), or would work as an ice-breaker for small talk, then that would be great.
On a research level, I’d like to know more about the chemicals in the products and what olfactory sensory neurons they bind to and stimulate. I’ll probably have to call the company directly if I wanted to collaborate on that level.
I know its frustrating not knowing the clinical names. I have used pheromones for years and although I research more on a personal level as many of the experienced members do we are all curious about what molecules they actually are. I wish I could tell you more information on a scientific level.
What I can tell you about TAA is that its a great molecule. Its warm uplifting and has magnetic qualities. People draw to you, hey dont necessarily talk more they just sort of joyfully hover around you like basking in the sun hence the product Instant shine.
The effect last 3 to 5 hours, When I first used it I got a bit if a head rush feeling and when it begins to where off I can have a drop in energy similar to when you ingest to much caffeine or sugar and you have a drop a few hours later. Once my body adjusted to it that effect left though.
TAF I like and it seems to give people more focus. You notice more with it. For instance if your cleaning the house while wearing it you will notice every speck of dirt. When you use it in a combo you notice peoples reactions more clearly to the other molecules. The one downfall reported is loss of time. You can become so focused on something that you dont realize the time your spending on it so if it takes you a 1/2 hour to wash the floor its gonna be a hour with taf LOL. People have noticed a dilation of the pupils when wearing TAF.
If you want a Icebreaker for small talk IO is great. People open up a lot more with this one. Its friendly comfortable and attractive on a platonic level. They dont reveal the exact formulas but what we do know… Its primarily anol and bnol at a specific ratio. Anol being the highest ratio in it. I believe this one has one more trace pheromone in it cant say what it us though.
IH is deeper and my favorite. Its opens people up on a deeper level. Its comfortable and more connecting. This one is also anol and bnol in the opposite ratio with bnol being higher.
CTTM is 50/50 anol and bnol.
The ratios do seem to make a difference in the mixes.
You might do a search on Meo-Est for a mood enhancer works on women and men. There has been a lot of recent reporting on this molecule. Just might be what your looking for. Glad your aboard the phero-express.
