I’m a 40-year old male in southern CT and I have been looking here for advice on what pheromones generally work best for what situations and to see the varying experiences of people have been.
(also, like many here at one time or another, I am trying to get whatever edge I might in helping the girl I had until recently been seeing to look at me in a new light. I’ve read enough to know that they are just a tool and that more is needed, but every little bit helps.)

What situations are you talking about? The one mentioned in parenthese or a general one?
Ammo will works best if you want to attract. Instant honesty is also great to get deep and good conversations and build some trust.
But it is harder to influence if you already know someone for a long time, since they already have an image of you in their mind, it still work in a more subtle way

Yes, it will be tricky, and to get more into my situation: the lady in question & I have been seeing each other in a semi-LDR (we get together every 2-3 months, but at least until recently called or IM’d every day). We have definite chemistry together - until recently our visits always ended with us snuggled up in bed (though no sex - she says she wasn’t looking for a relationship & was working out stuff with the guy she’d been seeing before) and I have been there for her through several hard times, which I’m hoping will count for something. Suddenly she has recently started seeing someone who lives close to her & seems to be something of a jerk - denigrating her interests and having already a harem of his own…saying she “totally didn’t see it coming” and says she loves me “in some ways” I am hoping the next time we meet (end of next month) to be able to present myself in a new & once-again-appealing light. (and readily admit that in my state of shock and anxiety I may just be grasping at straws and am trying at the least not to do anything stupid. I’ve already read how seeming “needy and clinging” is NOT going to help).

At work would be nice, but most especially for just one girl…though enhancing my impression to women in general would be nice. In the main, people seem to treat me like an uncle…nice, understanding & cuddly but in no wise in an intimate fashion. Yes, “friend-boxed” from the get-go. Or else they are intimidated by me (i’m 6’, burly and a former weightlifter/football player).

I am looking at the moment at Instant Female Magic, possibly a314, and maybe something like Instant Honesty. Conceivably with a cover of DST’s Pheros. (I already have a few things like The Edge, Chakira, A7, NPA and SoE).
We meet next in NYC for the Crowded House concert at the Irving (oddly, where we first met at a Scandal show in '05) and I am considering what products & mixes would seem best. Any advice would be appreciated.

Both actually. Both the usual work vs carousing vs dating as well as my personal situation.

For the most part, people react to me like an uncle…friendly and cuddly and understanding but no hint of intimacy. Except for the ones intimidated by me (6’, burly and a bit overweight, former weightlifter/football player).
I am especially interested in pheremones for one girl, but also changing the above impressions with women in general would be nice.

My personality is generally rather introverted and a bit insular, at least until I’m comfortable around people (or at least in the general topic of conversation). Then I become much more gregarious, with some flashes of teasing humor and the like. It’s cracking that initial shell that’s often tough, and it may seem standoffish or disapproving sometimes, I’d expect.
It seems that people who know me decently well tend to treat me as their emotional control rod, the stabilizing influence. Which can be frustrating at times, especially when I’d like something deeper. As I’ve learned from bitter experience, it’s the path to people’s company but also to the LJBF Box.
I’ve read enough to know 'mones aren’t magic, but at least shifting this a might would be welcome.

IG is also worth your consideration. This is a masculine product without the overt sexual overtones of the anone based products.
So far I’m getting some A314, IFM, IS and IH. Hopefully those will be a good start

They worked great. I still am sitting on one of the bottles still. But please beware! it was after i made that same cursed order that 2 weeks later i dropped about $200 more dollar bills!
While I await the DHL courier, I was wondering about the differing effects/reactions to A314 and Instant Gentleman
IMO and from my expierences…well, first lemme just say, the biggest difference is gonna be how long they last. A314 being an oil based product will stick with you 6-8hrs+. Instant Gentleman on the otherhand being alcohol based spray is only gonna provide effects (typical effects) for a few hours. Thats pretty much a rule of thumb all around.
Instant gentleman is a little less in your face -none. I dont find my posture bothering me with IG like i do with A314. with A314 i find myself consistantly correcting my posture and my appetite is decreased BIGTIME. Because of that, i apply actually twice per day its a neat side effect. But both products encourage respect and stature nonetheless.
