Hi! This coming Saturday, Oct 13th, marks the end of the Holy month of Ramadan in the Islamic calendar. About 1.2 billion Muslims around the world will celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr (The Victory Day), the most important celebration in Islam. Muslims all over the world will hold an ‘open house’ to receive friends & guests regardless of religions, cultures, social backgrounds, etc. I personally hope that this important day could promote peace, tolerance, respect & understandings among us through out this world, no matter who or what we are.
We may have differences in various issues, but we may not realize that Water out of the same fountain cannot be both bitter and sweet. Here water symbolizes life, the life created human beings. The fountain is the God from which the water comes out; it creates the human beings. Just as water from the same fountain tastes exactly the same, humans are all equal and are good in essence.
To all fine readers of this fine forum, I wish everybody Happy Eid-Ul-Fitr!
Happy Eid to you as well, brother. Of course we shouldn’t forget HABIB.
Unfortunately, here in Canada, we don’t feel the joy; at least not as much as in the middle east.
I bet all I will be doing is studying for my midterm exams.
Maybe I will buy something for me as a gift maybe an M7 cologne or Envy A kiss from my crush would be nice too lol
Well, Shadow, don’t feel dismay… whether you’re in Canada, Middle East or anywhere in this world, the spirit of Eid-Ul-Fitr is everywhere…always remember that you’re not ‘alone’ and you’re not separate from the Divine. Wish we could celebrate it together…here in Malaysia it is a national celebration, celebrated by all ethnics & religions. If you’re here, you’ll be amazed!!
Yeah! of course we won’t forget Habib…he is also invited!
Hey guys (every one on the forum), brothers, sisters, my cousins (Refers to Christians and Jews) friends, countrymen, and all other wonderful humans, whatever your religion or beliefs, On this auspicious day my home is your home (Alcohol & pork free of course ). I wish you all peace and goodwill. On the day of victory may Good triumph over Evil.
And in the words of a great man (Master Yoda)
‘May the force be with you’
Thanks Mohammad and ShadowX.. i shall say a special pray for you guys.
Eid in England is also celebrated by the Queen by the way, and is a semi national Holiday. (Only Schools are closed)
Thanks, Buddy! Wished you and all forum members were here to celebrate it with me. OMG! that will be more than 4000 members world wide!!! But to tell you the truth, you people are really great!
Btw, I’m not familiar with the Norooz celebration…perhaps you meant the another Muslim celebration which will fall on Dec,20th, just a few days before Christmas, but that will be in the winter.
Anyway, any celebration will bring us close together and helps to maintain peace everywhere.
You know what’s funny, I’m technically related to Emam Hussein. He’s like my great great great great great… grandfather on my Dad’s side of the family. I come from a Muslim background, although our family never really got into it much, living here in the states. My grandmother fasts during Ramadan, and so do some of my aunts and other relatives. I think my family celebrates that Winter thing, but not the religious aspect of it. We call it “shabeh Yalda” which is the longest night of the year…and we eat a specific meal that night. Norooz is just a celebration of the spring…it’s not really religious, but celebrated by many Middle-eastern people (it’s also called Aid…and although not religious, ‘some say’ it marks the day that Soleyman was appointed messenger of God).
Anyway, yes, best wishes, and it’s nice to see people from different parts of the world / cultures coming together with the interest in pheromones…
Wow!!! This is amazing man! Never thought I will meet a descendant of the great Imam Hussien (a.s.), martyred in Karbala’ (Iraq) at the age of 57 in a battle in 680 AD and buried there! Yazid had his head severed from his body and paraded in Damascus! He was the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (p.b.u.h.) Really wish I could shake hands with you! No matter where you are, always remember who you are. You will one day tell your grandchildren about the great Imam and they will be proud to know that. God bless you & your family.
Yeah! One funny thing is, I always forget that this is actually a pheromone forum! But, what the hack! I love this forum!!!
“Whosoever wishes to see such a person who lives on earth but whose dignity is honoured by the Heaven-dwellers, should see my grandson Hussien” - Prophet Mohammad (570 AD-632 AD)
I actually found out about this fact just last month…I asked some of my elderly relatives about my family tree/history. What’s odd is on that side of the family, half of the family was religious, the other half was not so much. So for some of them it’s hard to talk about it even to this day.
My dad’s great great grandfather was the great grandson of Sheikh Fazrollah (insert my last name)…and he was related to Imam Hussein. I don’t remember the exact details, but unfortunately there have been a lot of lives cut short on that side of the family…:o
Anyway, I was very surprised to find out about this myself. Since then I’ve tried to learn a lot more about the history behind it, and the religion.
Imam Hussein (a.s.) witnessed the deteriorating political and social situation and clearly recognized that the general policy of the authorities did not jibe Islamic principles. He was aware of the ummah’s numerous and painful afflictions, and was determined to exercise his religious duty, being the duly sanctioned leader and central figure capable of restoring Islamic values. To re-educating the ummah in line with Islamic laws and to rectifying deviation and putting in to practice the shariah. Also, breaking the wall of fear and terror that was imposed on the ummah and stirring the sprit of revolution and sacrifice in it.
