Hello all from NYC

Hello all,

Greetings from NYC. I’m a newly divorced 44 yo male (though I have been told I look like im in my 30’s) researching this whole pheromone phenomenom. I’m not sure if I believe they can work, but I will try them out. It may or may not work, after 5 years of marriage, I’m not really desperate for female companionship, but I do miss that physical connection. We shall see. Thanks for letting me rant, have fun everyone, and remember, just because a certain smell may drive women/men to want to rip your clothes off, that doesn’t make you a great person.

Hey scott, great post and welcome to the forum! I am sure you will find something here to your liking. I was wondering what drew you to pheromones, how did you learn about this place? If you go through the forum posts, you will see pheromone users have many different targets, some are using it for business, some for social effects and others just for fun experimentation.
Let us know a little bit more about the social situations you find yourself in where you would like an extra boost. Also diet, blood group, personality all play a significant role in which pheromones work for you and how you are perceived by people. So fill us in with those details. We would love to get you started! Enjoy!

I’ve been a cologne collector for many years, and have always been told I smell good, some colognes have actually made women purr, while others have made them cringe. Every cologne I wear now seems to get good comments from women, I usually wear warm type colognes (A*Men, Rochas Man, Haeni Mori) in the winter and more fruity colognes in the summer (acqua di gio, issey miyake, Egoiste Platinum). I am newly divorced, but not a club type person anymore (I’m 44), so I did a search as to what colognes get the best responses from women. somehow I wound up on the Pheralure website. I did a search of top ten pheromones(since pheralure seems to advertise that they’ve won all types of top ten awards), and I wound up here. I guess it’s a case of search engine optimization (webtrepreuners know what I mean) working it’s magic. Anyway, I was looking for a scentless pheromone to mix in with my favorite colognes. My search will continue since it seems all the pheromones that supposedly work have their own scent added. I am intrigued by Turn Up The Heat and Instant Shine though. I might purchase them anyway.

I love A*Men and Hanae Mori as well. Infact Hanae Mori is my SOTD

The scents are added to aid in diffusion and to create a good sillage so that other people get a whiff of you and can track the scent back to the wearer. There is some explanantion here: Experimone Neroli scent add-on question?

The readymade tested products are all scented for that reason. However, users who have lot of experience under their belt with mixing pheromones and colognes do tend to buy the unscented ones from the experimone format and mix it with their own colognes. However, this is not an easy thing to get right when you are just starting out. So, it’s your decision if you want to go that route. But I will suggest going with tried and true first and once you build some understanding then go for your own mixing.

Your choices of TUTH and IShine look good for your first purchase. They have a huge fan following here and you will see them recommended quite often. Start low on TUTH though and be careful with work applications as it gives a sexual vibe which maynot be appropriate for the workplace. IShine is good everywhere!

Thanx for the advice nbully79, from what I’ve read here, older geezers, like myself, put out less natural pheromones that the you studs, so that’s why they suggest one spray of TUTH. What is the amount older geezers should spray ?

Natural output of androstenone (central molecule of TUTH), as do other pheromones, decrease with age. However it also depends on a lot of other factors, like fitness (More exercise = More mones), blood group (O = higher -none). Given so many parameters it’s best to start judiciously and gradually move your way up. So try one spray for a week or two in different circumstances. Then up the dosage to 2 sprays for the following weeks. The thing to keep in mind is androstenone sticks to your skin and it’s hard to get rid of it through regular showers. So you should be cautious in assessing your application since you might have some residue buildup from previous applications. I will say take a day’s break between applications of TUTH during your experimental stage. If possible get Nioxin shampoo to get rid of any residue.

Hey Scott,

Just to mention in my 3 years using -pheromones I can honestly say there is something to them and they do work. Not every time, not on everyone, and not always the way you wanted them to or imagined they would work. But I’ve seen way too much to doubt they DO work. Good luck! I’d start with the social -Androstenol and respect -Androsterone based products. Also the new molecules being pioneered at Andronics. All the TA’s etc.

Matt

Hey Scott,

I just went in and updated your gift cert. Check your email and come back and play!

Pretty much ALL pheromones will have a “scent” to them. What you are after is one with “no added scent” (unfragarenced). I think you can request almost anything Androtics offers in an “unscented” form.

I’m older than you, and blood Type O, and have a hunch I still produce a fair amount of Androstenone as I seem to OD on it easily. Experimentation is in order.
