Hello everyone. I have a question about experimental and putative pheromones.
How do I figure out what these products are all about? there doesnt seem to be too many reviews for many of them. any advise would be much appreciated. thanks!

Welcome to the forum! Putative pheromones to the best of my knowledge are mainly for researchers and advanced users of pheromones. They are used when creating custom mixes.
If this is your first experience with pheromones you are better of with the commercial range of products. If you could share with us a little about your personality and goals I’m sure the forum members would be more than happy to guide you in the right direction. You can also qualify for a gift certificate which you can use against your first purchase .

There is a lot of info on the various products in the sticky section of the mens forum. I would suggest starting there. You will have to dig deeper in the search function to find out about the MXes and putatives but there is a gold mine of info here in the forum.
After that please come back and give us some more info about what you want to do with the pheros as well as some more info about your personality. That way we can make decent recommendations for you as well as get a gift certificate you can use towards a purchase.

The only way to find out about the experimentals and putatives is to try them. This is why they are called that.
First start with some of the regular products, learn how to use them and how to get the best effects from them. Once you have that down, then you can start playing around with the other stuff. Remember that they are called “experimental” for a reason, because we are still trying to learn what they do or don’t do.
To qualify you for the $25 gift certificate, please tell us about your personality and how you relate to others. Are you shy? Are you outgoing?
Also, what kinds of things are you thinking of using pheros for? Work? School? Dating? What kinds of effects are you hoping to see?

A friend of mine turned me on to pheromones several years ago and I noticed almost immediate results. I noticed more eye contact and friendlier attitudes from women. I also noticed a change in the way I felt during the day while wearing them. Since then I have come to experiment with a broader variety of products, and have become obssessed!
As for my personality, I am a lawyer living and working in new york city. I am relatively outgoing and relate well to others.
The sense I get is that pheromones can be applied to a variety of social contexts. I would like to have different pheromone mixes to suite my particular mood, or the social situation I may have to deal with. In essence, I would like to build a collection. This is, I suppose, why I am so interested in the experiemental pheromones. I want to create my own special formulas…but in all honesty, I dont know enough about pheromones to do that 
all in good time I suppose.
One thing I dont like about many of the commercially available products is the added scents. i always buy uncented pheromone products so that I can use my own brands of cologne.
I guess I will continue to browse this forum and see what kind of information other people are posting before experimenting with the putative pheromones.
are there any MUST HAVEs I should know about as far as the more commercial products are concerned? Much obliged

The “must-haves” for each person vary with the needs and personality of that person.
How do you relate with others? Do you have trouble starting conversations (probably not, if you are an attorney, though maybe with girls?), or do you have trouble keeping them going?
What are the primary things you want to achieve with pheromones? Increased respect? More confidence? Greater sex appeal? Do you want to stand out more in a crowd?

If you were looking for something to use whilst working then A314 seems to be the professionals must have although I haven’t personally tried it. Other than that the best advice I can give is to have a look through The Men’s Guide and seeing which stand out as something you may be interested in. As SillyKitty mentioned it mostly boils down to which compliment and enhance your existing personality.

EDIT: It’s worth mentioning that most of the commercial sprays can be mixed together to create your own custom effects meaning that just because you are using A314 one day doesn’t mean that you can’t add on a couple sprays of something else to enhance the mix. It’s important when you start mixing though to be aware of what each are capable of individually so that you can make informed decisions about what might work and why a certain result occurs.

In all honesty I do tend to have problems both initiating conversations with attractive women, and also keeping them going. As for what i would like to achieve with pheromones, I think you definately touched on some critical areas: I certainly do want increased respect, confidence, sex appeal, and to stand out more in a crowd. Any recomendations based on those goals?

Ammo is a great all around product that will give both your confidence and sexappeal a boost, and can be worn anywhere.
Instant Openness is a nice ice breaker, and definitelt helps get conversation going.
Instant Honesty takes existing conversation, and adds depth and intimacy to it. People will feel more comfortable opening up to you and talking about meaningful things.
Instant Shine will give both your mood and the moods of those around you a nice lift. I often use it just for self effects, to feel a bit more “up”. It will give you a bit of sprakle that others will want to be around.
A314 will give you confidence and respect, and is great for work. The smell is actually pretty subtle. I am wearing some right now, and I have to smell my wrist in order to smell it.
A lawyer huh? Hmmmm. We’ll see.
If you want to get a good spread of products I would start with the consumer line until you get a good handle on using these products. I would think along these lines:
Work:
A314 and Instant Honesty. It is my favorite combo. A lot of people use Ishine with the A314 instead but I prefer the IH. A314 can create what I call respect distance. People can give you room. Adding IH does not lessen the repsect but it does help create feelings of connection and often deeper discussions about whatever is important on their minds.
To help generate conversation:
IO - helps generate general chatty discussion.
IH - as stated above.
CTTM2- 50/50 mix of IO and IH. Think deposition.
After Hours:
Ammo and A314. There is a thread in my signature block about that combo. Check it out.
BTW: Just kidding about the first line … some of my best friends are lawyers. LOL.

Do you find that you can wear your own cologne with these products, or do you just wear them as stand alone?
Well the Ammo has its own cologne scent so you really do not need one with that.
The others are easily covered by your favorite clogne. A lot of folks get very self-conscious about the scent of the neroli, but no one can really smell it once it dries down and especially if it is covered by cologne. Well maybe with the exception of Gegogi. But he is not looking for male lwayers … lol.

You already got some excellent advice especially from my friend Bosshank so I will just answer some questions on the Putatives.
The Putatives as someone mentioned is for advanced users and we don’t recommend you get these for your first order. There are tons of information on the putatives when you are ready to try them and I am sure it won’t be long from now. Please remember that the only way to find out what they do is to test them out yourself.
Just like the putatives we also don’t recommend first time users get their products unscented and for most products you can use them with your own cologne because the scent is very subtle.
