Hi everyone!
I’ve been a member for a while but realised I didn’t actually post an introduction. So I’m doing it now…and I’ll try to be as candid as possible.
I’m 27 years old and am from Western Australia. I used to be very shy and insecure, and didn’t grow up very happy. However, I enjoyed my university years much more (despite having great difficulties with study) and through sheer will have become very confident. I’m fairly decent looking, and have no problems approaching people. I’m also an excellent communicator, have great manners, friendly, and can stand up for myself when I need to. However, I’m not independent as of yet. I live with my father, and recently quit my job (bartending) because there’s no work, and also because late shifts is starting to take its toll. What can I say - I gave it a go. I’m still looking for full time work, although have no direction at this point in time. So in some areas I feel great about myself, although in others I feel stuck.
However, being a typical Saggittarius, I’m also very honest about my shortcomings, and I very much feel the need to throw myself in to the world of pheromones. I have ADHD & this has affected me my whole life. It’s hard to explain it all here, but it constantly affects and changes your energy/mood and well being, your consistency and levels of interest in things (unfinished projects, switching jobs or being fired, losing interest in things and people, especially when dating women) your time management, organisation and focus, impulsivity & concentration, and overall how you manage your life and go about your day/week etc.
It’s left me feeling quite empty, confused, lost, and spiritually bereft - and also like I don’t fit in - despite being great with people. It doesn’t concern me that I’m different, I think it’s a blessing. But there are many times I find living in the modern world a shallow experience, and form a hard shell around myself (which then becomes so difficult to knock down when you want to reconnect with your life).
Still - that’s my problem. You’ve got to make changes yourself. I try to be proactive and positive about my life. I am so privileged, but sometimes I feel something is missing from my psyche. I often feel so small and insecure, even though I can mask it or sometimes be lucky enough to forget about myself in situations, social or otherwise (primarily because I love being around people so much).
SO! Last year I took a course on anxiety management. I see a psychiatrist and take medication, keep very fit, and try to connect with friends and people as much as I can. I have a Bachelor of Communications & Media from last year (which I haven’t used yet), and am starting a few new things: martial arts, dance, a language, and also am keen to get back to cooking again.
I want to experiment as much as I can with pheromones to enhance all areas of my life. I don’t want to improve just one thing, or merely look at one area. In some ways I think I’m afraid of where my life is heading, and also afraid of commitment. I don’t want to be. When you are afraid, you become indecisive. And when you become indecisive, you drift along. It’s something I’ll have to work on day by day. I must admit I’m becoming so frustrated not knowing what I want from life. It holds you back and makes you overthink everything. On the flipside, I can do stupid things when I don’t think enough, and just jump in. It’s such a delicate balance, having a devil-may-care attitude while still making decisions that aren’t self destructive, and that benefit you.
I’m not looking for a quick fix. Like investing in the stock market, or improving yourself, or becoming a more enlightened and happier person, it requires backbone and constant commitment. So I’m here to try things, meet people, & help others!!
I’ve already done a mass of reading about the basics, especially for newbies, so I already know a lot. But I’m not one to think I know everything. In his much lauded speech, Steve Jobs made the remark, “Stay hungry. Stay foolish”. That’s my attitude, and I hope it will hold me in good stead.
This is a lot to write for an introduction and to many may seem surplus to requirements, but this is me. I’ve just received a bottle of A-314, and will start purchsing others. If any of you want to give me advice, please feel free!!! I’m a good listener, and you learn something every day.
Warm Regards - especially to Steve and Mickaelia!
