Hello. I’ve been experimenting wih pheremones off and on for about two years. I used this product called Perception, which is a sort of gel packet that has two “doses”.
My interest in pheremones is mostly to enhance my likeability and respect. I’m a pretty “anti-social” kind of person, always had problems as a kid with social situations and picking up on the little cues. Maybe I have a bit of Asperger’s Syndrome/Autism- I was born with alot of health problems and my parents were told I’d be little taller than a dwarf. Now I’m currently 5’7 so I beat that by a few inches, and I don’t think I’m unattractive (I’m white, light olive skin, dark hair). I’ve also struggled with depression, and social phobia and problems being assertive. So I’m looking not so much to attract people, but to get more respect.
As anybody knows the economy isn’t great and I’ve had trouble finding good work, it’s been like this a while (I make some money off eBay, but don’t laugh if I say I still live at home). About a year and a half ago I got what I thought was a good job interview and I blew it, I didn’t know what to say. I got cleaned up, trimmed up my beard, put on good clothes, but blew the interview I guess because I was too “nice” and let a black guy that was late to the interview go first. When asked about what was positive that I could bring to the company, I said I’m an honest person that enjoys helping people. Then list your greatest accomplishment. Bingo, I had a problem there. I said learning to drive was my biggest accomplishment, since I was told as a kid that it would be difficult, and eventually in my mid 20’s I tackled it. I guess that didn’t impress the interviewer at all. I think in this case being too honest hurt me. I’m an honest person by nature and deception doesn’t come easily to me, I was raised with “honesty is the best policy”. I also regret to say I wasn’t wearing any pheremones during the interview, if that would give a bonus. Looking back it was a crap job anyways, I’d really like to work in a Starbucks serving coffee (I love coffee, and I like the atmosphere at Starbucks) but they are on the skids, so I figured any job would be a good start.
All that is pretty ironic since I took alot of psychology in college. Knowing all that theory all well and good, but feeling socially crippled doesn’t seem to translate it well- I feel like I can spot peoples motivations a bit better, but learning to be friendly, get peoples attention, and spot your vulnerabilities and hide them isn’t something you can get in a book. I’m actually sort of interested in the whole “game” pickup psychology as it seems to be more practical and intriguing, and seems to work (not that I’ve ever used it… that’s another issue with me, I have trouble relating to women and only had one girlfriend and it went nowhere. I had a somewhat “conservative” childhood and didn’t fool around- I was a “good” kid).
To be honest I haven’t noticed anything shocking happen wearing the pheremones. People do seem to treat you with a little more attention and be friendlier, but certainly they don’t fall head over heels for you. Men do seem to give you a little more attention, as well, taking your more seriously- but it’s not a huge difference and I’m not sure I’d call it all that significant. I live in the Central Florida area and people here are gruff and treat each other in a curt manner alot (especially the transplants from the Northeast), so I pick up on these things.
What I have noticed giving me alot more respect… I ride a large scooter (Honda Reflex) and a Ninja 250. I’ve been doing this over 3 years now, ever since gas prices started rising. If you go into a store wearing boots, a jacket, and gloves, it really gets peoples attention. They give you alot more respect and often call you “sir”, something that’s pretty rare otherwise. Wierd, huh? The first day I hopped on my scooter and rode down to the grocery store a couple years ago, I had an older woman follow me around and actually try to help me out BUYING A CAN OF BEANS. It was truely bizarre. All I was wearing were some combat boots and a motorcycle jacket. She probably would have laughed if she saw the particular “bike” I was riding (Honda Metropolitan- top speed 40 mph), but I guess I was dressed enough as a bad boy in her mind distract her from the monotony of a grocery store at 10 AM. Incidentally I don’t wear the clothing to “hit” on anybody, it’s more to prevent road rash (I’ve been down once, the gloves saved my hand).
