Hoping this will allow some comfort in communications with my boyfriend. He clams up and won’t speak to me when he’s feeling insecure. It drives me crazy and hurts quite a bit. Despite his knowing that, he still does it. My hope is that maybe somehow this will allow him to be less afraid of telling me what is going on with him.

We’ve been together 5 years. On and off at times, but always come back to each other. He’s 36, I’m 32. When things are good with us, they are really good. When they are bad, they are really bad.
But nothing bad has happened. We have had wonderful weekends together the last several months and things have been great. This passed weekend was exceptional. And everything has been fine until last night. He’s been sick and not feeling well. I missed his call, called back 5min later, and got no reply. Sent a few texts, no reply, called again, no answer. Sent a message this morning and he’s back to being oh so cold and not speaking to me. I don’t have a clue what happened. One moment he was telling me how much he missed me and wished I was there, and that life was giving him some sorrow, and then boom. The line has gone silent. We had plans on spending the weekend together for his birthday and the conversations have been really great. Now? Now I don’t know what happened. I just don’t know and it’s killing me this morning. So I decided I will continue on the plans that we had and hopefully things will smooth down. My hope was to get a few things from here in advance and that it would allow us to ease through what ever his issue is right now.
I’m a sad thing today.
