No, u can use io alone. Is and io do different things. Is makes others feeld good and give you a youthful glow, while io makes others chatty open up. Of course, u can use them together too. Have fun and get as many as u can!
You got some really good suggestions but remember you will have to find your sweet spot first and try these products one by one to get a feel for what they do and then you can try mixing and matching.
