I am a 27 year old female, I currently reside in Tennessee, I have never tried any type of pheromones before… Could someone explain to me how they work?

A pheromone is a natural secretion of many different animals, including humans. They are, as I understand it, derived from various hormones in the body, and they are emitted for various reasons, including individual identification, territory marking, and emotional response. (We’ve all heard of the “scent of fear.”) Now, in our particular case, the pheromones we research (both the users on this forum, and the researchers at AD and other firms) are positive ones that pertain to, e.g. social status, friendly behavior, attraction, and even sexual pairing. They are chemically identified in the skin secretions (aka sweat!), then synthesized in the lab. The Instant line here at AD is comprised of known pheromones with known reactions. The MX (experimone) and P (putative) lines are for advanced users, because we don’t necesssarily know what they do. This is the experimental side of the business. Scientists have identified them as “mones,” but haven’t identified their purposes.
Now, since the sense of smell is linked into the limbic system and one of the oldest (most “primitive”) parts of the brain (remember how the scent of spiced apple pie can take you back to that Christmas as a child?), we react to mones in subtle, almost subliminal ways. They are a secondary form of communication, telling us things about the other person. Ideally, what we are doing is enhancing and strengthening our own pheromone signature, especially since certain mones (like certain hormones) tend to decrease as we age.
