I’m 29, I will be 30 in July. I’ve recently been hired as a store manager, and I’m finding it to be a rough transition. I’m generally a pretty strong person, but the stress has been really getting to me. A good number of people I’m working with don’t have faith that I’m a good fit for this position. Some feel I’m unfriendly (I can tend to become emotionally removed if I think people don’t like me, but I’m really fun and goofy when I feel comfortable), while others think I’m unqualified or a poor leader (even though I have a lot of experience in this field). I’d like to be perceived as more confident, trustworthy, and likable.
I’ll mostly be wearing pheromones at work. I work at a coffee shop in a bustling financial district, so I interact with the professional public a lot.
I’m also a grad student, so you can imagine how busy my life is. I don’t have a lot of free time, so my romantic life has been greatly suffering.
