Hello! I have been lurking for awhile and reading about every web site I can. This is a very detailed topic. You folks here seem very smart, honest and open.
I am 36, confident, upbeat, and can be talkative socially. I am also single. I get looks, but rarely approached by men. Or I only get talked to if I initiate. Guys say I am easy to talk to - but as a freind! Some say that I appear stand-off-ish too. I secretly struggle with a bit of a low self esteem (not a ton, just a little) when interested guys are around.
Please help me on my first purchase. I want to have guys approach me! And I want them to want to be more than friends! Specifically, I have a guy friend (of course) that I have had a crush on for years. He flirts from time to time, and is shy.

Also, I would reiterate that if you like confident men, particularly if you want the guy in your life to be chivalrous, dominant and/or the breadwinner, you probably do want an alpha male–just not a jerk who will push you around. I get that; I’m after the same thing.
