So I just got my first bottle of mx297 and right after opening the package the scent hit me and it was awesome but a lot stronger than what I was expecting. I was expecting to wear this to college but now i am worried that the smell will be way to strong for that setting. I don’t want to choke people to death at 8 in the morning.
Is it possible to cover that scent with creeds GIT or would that just make matters worse? Or should I just not wear 297 to class?
Was planning to wear either a mix of 297 +ammo+IH or 297 ammo and shine
When I first started like winter time I would go in with 2 sprays of ammo out of my car into into the classroom. It was so strang I was wrapping my hood around my neck like a choke hold trying to suppress the scent from suffocating people as much as it had me. The effects were working, but if the scent is really strong give it some decant time before charging in.
I’m not all familiar with most of the MX’s though to say about it
I spray on about 1 hour before heading into class my real concern is that do I really want the celebrity or vip status in class? would you think that is appropriate?
The Akuto in 297 may seem strong on first application but like all the other 6% strengths, it will settle down to a much more acceptable level after 20-30 minutes. Also remember that MX390 is the same thing but in Neroli which is a scent that dries lighter still.
Ammo in F21 has a 20% scent concentration, which of course makes it a different matter - much stronger and more persistant.
And yes, it is quite possible to use a cover scent and IME, Akuto sits well with many good colognes.
However, my experience of MX297 is that a classroom/normal work environment is about the worst place you could get to try and make use of its considerable properties - unless you are an entertainer or in some other line that involves a fair degree of chatting-up/socialising the customers/colleagues. You need to work it in a strongly fun/social environment to get the best.
And mixing it with none is a funny thing IME - I’ve found it best to let the 297/390 do do their work unaided for a while, then add-in the none.
If you can make your personality shine in a study group, then yes, go for it! I don’t know what you are studying but yeah I could see how some subjects could be good. Personally, I would tend to IH/P74 in those situations - Kind of makes people go wow at your talent.
Club meetings and events - yes, excellent places.
Otherwise, Ammo/IS/IO is a good one, so long as you know your sweet spot for Ammo & don’t overdo the none.
Actually, I’ve gotten some of the best results when I smell like a walking potpourri.
The first time I tried pheros, I used two sprays of Ammo, 3 of IS, and 3 of IH. The smell was so strong, but I got some of the best results with that combo.
I respectfully disagree. Aside from obvious places like clubs, I find classrooms are very good settings to test out mones, where you’re literally surrounded by people. Then again, most of my professors this year are very chill and relaxed about socializing in class.
Also, you can’t compare the scent of Ammo and MX297. Like the above poster said, Ammunition is 20% fragrance and the smell FF21 can bother a lot of people (though I personally don’t mind). MX297 is a light 6% concentration of akuto, which most people don’t find distracting.

Hmmm… I guess you’re right. Ammo is only 10% fragrance. Sorry if I caused any confusion. However, it is still important to note that there is a big difference between 10% and 6%. That is almost double the fragrance.
Yup, also F21 is a strong scent at any concentration. In fact it is the only AD scent I’ve yet tried to be almost at my limit of tolerance for irritation. I can wear it for a few hours but this is one I don’t topup. F22 suits me fine though but I think my next bottle of Ammo will in custom Akuto.
