Hey All,
Im not great at these intro things, so I am goign to do it in a story. Its the only way I know how.
A guy doomed from the start —
Short, introspective to the extreme, and wildly insecure. Throw in some winners for parents, and a social misfit is born.
He moved through on the outside looking in…too lonely to be loner, too afraid to participate. As the years stomped by, however, things changed.
He grew into some decent looks and found some strong opinions. A personality was born, and he started turning around.
He found a voice, and his pen did the talking. He wrote away all of his problems into pages, crumbled them up and threw them away.
Shit got easier, it usually does.
Anyways he had to leave his home. He came to L.A and started writing. First for money, then for principle, and then by necessity, money again.
The world he is trying to crack into is hard, some would say impossible. In this economy nigh impenetrabal.
He has some skills in communication but needs an edge. And despite his newfound confidence, he is still a scared kid somewhere inside.
That brings me here.
I first heard about pheromones on Boston Legal. One of the associates was sued by the woman he was dating when she found out he used oxytocin to attract her. The vibe was very disapproving. He pleaded “I was only using it to take the edge off” or something like that. Sounds like a couple of junkies I know back home.
Not a great first impression.
I paid no mind to what I thought was snake oil until I saw some in-person effects. A friend of mine tried it and cleaned up.
I checked it out and found you guys. If any of you have actually read this far, I have some questions.
–If I use pheromones in a business setting to make a sale and they somehow found out I was wearing them, what might the repercussions be?
It may seem like a strange question, however L.A is full of con-artists and sleaze balls. This has dramatically upped the defenses of all those here. After seeing Boston Legal sue someone for it, It got my attention.
My next question is more personal. I am a decently attractive guy, and through my hobbies I happen to stay in pretty good shape. I have good communication skills. Long story short is I can usually attract girls, but then I am so self-conscious I have trouble connecting.
I go through the motions of listening and directing the conversation, but I can’t do much. I don’t crash and burn, but lets just say I am usually passed over if another option rolls through.
My quesiton: Do these pheromones act inwardly, such as reducing my self-conscious behavior, or exclusively on others. If they work inwardly, what kind of responses have you guys had?
Anyways, Thanks for checking out my post and welcoming me into this tight knit online community. I look forward to talking to many of you guys in the future. I think I caught the bug…
