Not entirely sure how I wound up on the subject of pheromones, but after some “research” had decided there wasn’t enough evidence to prove either way, and some comments I read from scientists along the lines that “if it worked, you’d see it in alot more use” kinda closed the door for me.
I’ve recently broken up and am finding myself quite bored, and after searching for social groups in my city to consider getting involved in I somehow wound up at this website. My curiosity was picqued to the point that I’m now posting a greeting to this forum. I’m a little sceptical considering that the forum is hosted by the manufacturer, but the sheer volume of threads has convinced me to try an “experiment”.
I’m 32, an engineer, and a volunteer sports instructor. I workout regularly and it’s visually noticeable, but haven’t gotten rid of all the flab from my lazier days.
In a professional setting, work or sport, I don’t seem to have too much trouble getting people to do what I want. I do have issues with my boss, not other supervisors, and someone suggested that maybe he feels threatened. I don’t have much trouble in group settings, though sometimes I am over-sensitive to what people are thinking and my body language becomes awkward or weak.
I really have to work at being confident around (new) women, especially if I’m interested. I know I advertise my interest, which kills chances before you can even meet.
My objectives? a) More respect from my boss. b) make communicating with women more relaxing for both myself and them, perhaps encourage them to initiate dialogue or spark interest in them. I’m not necessarily interested on captilizing on it… but the attention would be nice. Sort of a chicken and the egg situation, you need confidence to get attention, but it’s hard to build when it’s not there.
In my opinion both of those could and should be resolved by learning the right attitude and social skills, but what the hell… this place has got me curious. What would you guys recommend?
