Don’t know who you heard that from, but I find that hilarious. I don’t think I’ve ever found anything made in China that could be defined as excellent quality. If its excellent quality, its overpriced, you can’t buy it or its very hard to find. I don’t know about ALL of China’s products but most of their products are usually terrible and cheap imitaions, even of their own products. It’s funny watching tourists in China get owned by “authentic,” beautiful paintings that is copied by some no talent artist.
I mean, you know its bad when entire Chinese communities post which products are actually made in China and refuse to buy them. They find products by UPC code, brand, anything, that is made in China and refuse to buy them. To be fair, these communities are made up of people who ran from the country when Mao took power.
And I don’t think its because we have more people that has watered down the overall quality of our products. Japan has a fairly large population and in terms of population density, is higher than China’s. I think its more of “I am told that the Chinese lost their wise and educated people in their cultural revolution. These people were all killed because they were a threat to the rising powers. These same powers have shown that they value life little, and are obsessed with money and appearances.” than anything else.
