I would really appreciate it if someone or anyone could give me a little advice.
When i am reading a post i can see that the poster has somehow removed a portion or several lines or a paragraph of someone elses previous post and they somehow transfer it with quote written above and it comes in a shaded or i think a sorta blue rectangle.
Well how do they do it. ?
So far i have only learned to left click and to copy and paste which is ok sorta, but it does not look so good or do as a nice job as the Quote in the diferent coloured sorta rectangular box.
If it is a diffucult proceedure to explain then don’t go to the trouble, but on the other hand if it is not too difficult i would be most thankfull if i could learn it.
if you hit the reply button on the right hand side, you will see the original message with a short script at the start and end, these are probably in black text and between square brackets like this .
Simply copy the first script and paste it at the start of the text you want to quote, then copy the second script ( the one with the user name of the other person but without the series of numbers after) at the end. Repeat this for each portion you want to quote. use the preview post button to check that it looks OK, then submit your reply
How about quoting just the relevant parts of the post being replied to?:DI hope this works, it certainly requires lots of skill to try and just cut out a small section.

No problem Terry. It looks like you deleted the opening in the post you were trying to quote from. Easiest way to see what stopped a quote is to make sure it opens with a
Or you could just highlight the text and click the button in the toolbar that looks like a text cloud in a comic book (3rd from the right). When you mouse over it, it will say "Wrap

There was a time that i used to pull down and clean and rebuild some hot Chevy V8’s and also Clevland 351 ci using the spec sheets with the machining tolerances ect and also do my own heads and valve grinding ect new aftermarket cams and lifters ect had them going a treat.
I have also taught myself english and how to use the PC to a degree,
so i will try and improve.

Highlight what you want to quote. right click… click copy… Go to you reply post…right click and hit paste. Then highlight the quote and hit this button >>>>>>>>>>
At the top of the screen and it will wrap quotes for you.
There is also multi quote button on the bottom left of peoples posts but it will do the whole post I believe… Looks like this >>> http://www.pheromonetalk.com/images/buttons/multiquote_off.gif

Tisha hi darlin, I send you and others my best heartfelt thanks because i really appreciate the help.
But to be perfectly honest and to the point i would say do not go wasting any further time, because the facts of this exersise just prove that i am er just somewhat slow.
I will continue on and practice though.
