Hi everyone I have A314, instant shine and a to go bottle of instant honesty. I dont have air conditioning here in hot southern cali
. The temps are now easily 95-100’s. I currently store them in a wooden cabinet. Should I store in the fridge? Will that mess them up?
Mess them up chemiscally? probably not. BUt the will be more evaporation some your product last shorter, even if stored in a closed bottle. And a314 will be very water-like, so you will be getting bigger drops and the drops come out really fast
A wise old bird (and she was a wise old bird - about 100!) who used to spend a lot of money of expensive scents swore that they should be kept in the fridge as they can age. I think ultra violet damage is probably worse though.
Do pheromones deteriorate? It seems to make sense that organic pheromones might, but synthetic ones? Christ, I really do know s**t about biochemistry!
here’s what i would do…I’d freeze a bottle of water/ice pack and then store the phero’s with it (probably in a bag) in a shaded_dry place to keep it cool. This may help…
Oh if you’re keeping them out…i’d recommend keeping them on the first floor/basement (if one is available that is) since heat rises and makes upper levels always hotter than the first/lower floors.
After having stored many pheromone products in my car console for years with the windows up during the hottest Australian summers,
I have not noticed any deteriation either in the composition or the effectiveness of these.
The only real danger to these substances is storing them in direct sunlight, so a cabinet or draw is fine.
There is the issue of evapouration or leakage but as long as the caps are secure then there is no worries.
Sometimes the cold temperature of the refrigerator can cause some separation in the oil based products and may need to shake them up at room temperature before use if you are storing them in the cold.
So the only real problems you have to be aware of is direct sunlight, and also evapouration or leakage if the cap is not secure ect. ![]()
Thanks for the advice everyone.![]()
Wow, Terry, nice of you to drop by, haven’t seen many post from you lately.
I too keep my pheromones in the center console of my car. I only have moderate tinting on the rear window and rear quarter windows. I’m in Southern California too so I wouldn’t worry too much about that. Like Terry said, leakage and direct sunlight, IME as well.
Thank you, Its just that i have been so busy keeping the home fires burning and the electrical mechanical devices in working order that i just have the time to look in the forums when i get a notice in my browser ect.
Also the product that i have been using and testing out is not known on either of the forums, Therefore i have been keeping my results to emails only, ( apart from only a brief mention on L-S) , so as not to be thought that i am trying to use the forums to push the product.
Best regards. terry ![]()
