I just thought of something reading through a lot of posts in the in the theory section. I had a good friend in college. He was a pretty cool guy, and I guess he wasn’t bad looking, but he never showered. Stank like a damn dumpster. The dude always had girls hanging off of him. They were nuts about him. I’m starting to think now the not showering helped him out a lot with the ladies.
I’m curious if there are any sort of products that can help you get stink off of you without removing the better part of your own natural mones. Anybody here looked into that any?
Any cosmetic/cleaning product will remove a substantial amount of your natural production at the time but your natural signature will reestablish itself fairly quickly.
The stuff to avoid is anything that leaves a residue on your skin that goes-on destroying mones for some time. Triclosan and other “antibacterials” are primary culprits, along with antiperspirants, some wood/essential oils and various types of skin cleaning/hair gels
Plain soap, well rinsed and a crystal deodorant is IME the best way to clean and make best use of your natural and any added pheros.
Thanks mobo! I switched to a plain soap last year for different reasons, but that’s still really good to know.
I remember reading some PUA site, where the writer said he stopped using deodorants or antiperspirants of any kind, and switched to baking soda. He talked about how his game improved as a result. His writing style came across as too flashy and forceful to be 100% believable (comparable to Roosh V’s or David DeAngelo’s), even if it has some merit to it. But it goes with this thread, so I’m mentioning it.
I have found the key here is you do not want to stink, so it is best to use a decent body wash and deodorant. You want a body wash that still gets the stink out but does not have all the junk chemicals. I use Jason’s body wash most of the time. The main thing I have found is not to use anti bacterial soap as it kills off your natural bacteria on your body. Also anything with SLS(Sodium Laurel Sulfate) is not good either.
The same goes for deodorant to. I was using a salt stick, but have found that it pretty much kills off all beacteria, so now I use Tom’s of Maine.
You will never find a perfect product really, but there are some good choices out there. You don’t want to stink so I would just pick a healthy alternative and a great place to look is at your local health food store.
