This is true as well, but omitting the 3 posts that he made 3 days ago his last posts was from 6 months ago in August. The forum has changed a great deal since then, more members, more frequant posting.

I for one, and I am sure others are delighted to see he is back as I have learned a great deal from him here and over at LS and am sure once he starts posting his reps will shoot up considerably as he is very experienced and knowledgable.

I do tend to find that people only rep on the newer posts but excellant posts way back in the beginning of the forum don’t get them because alot of those posters are not active anymore and people notice that.

I do agree with you that reps are not necessarily a indication of experience but they have there purpose.

Its funny i tend to rep past posts i like as well as the new ones. Especially the insightful ones that are full of gems.These days I usually leave my name next to a comment so the person knows its me.

Back when MHarris, Jasmin and Catlord were posting a lot, the rep point game hadn’t really gotten rolling yet. They certainly deserve all the rep in the world but nobody was handing it out much at that point!

Well, I will always rep a good post myself. On Sunday I was on the forum all day and the system actually told me I have issued to many reps in the last 24 hours and would not let me give out anymore. However, I have noticed that the majority of reps I receive seem to come from the ladies. For instance, the last 5 reps I’ve received all came from the ladies - 4 were from threads in the Mens Forum and 1 came from a thread in the Womens Forum.

i got a theory that women (having a kinder heart) tend to rep more.

Well thank you Flaming! I try. I have also thought the same thing about the differences between how and why men and women issue reps.

I only issue reps for posts that are informative about mones. Also when someone reports on a product correctly I will rep them. Sometimes if a post is deep and insightful I will give it reps.

I never rep just for the sake of repping or because of something frivolous especially since becoming a moderator.

I have never given out so many the system has stopped me. LOL Mark thats alot of reps your giving out.
