Reputation Points explained...

Rep points are given by clicking the forum members current points on any post. you will give however many rep points your worth (shown below your avatar picture on each post). Rep points are nothing more than a status thing. There are no rewards for having rep. Its just to show who is reputable on the forums which comes in handy when taking advice from people on paticular issues. For example, I would be much more apt to try something Tisha or SteveO (someone with 100+ rep) over someone with under that score. The more rep you have the more your worth when you give props to other people. Every week it resets so you can give rep to the same person again. You have a limit of 6 rep give outs per day ( i use them all, just to spread the love). Usually when giving reps its helpful to put your name in the comment field. For example my reps look like this alot “Great post, very informativ -z4”. That way they know who repped then (to rep back in lots of cases) and they can see which post was repped. This is all viewable when you click on the Control panel at the bottle of the screen. Hope this helps

Note: the 6 reps per day thing is my estimate, i noticed around 4-6 reps per 24 hours I can give. So, roughly that. Same with the week thing - I think its about a week before you can give to the same person again. Mods - Please edit this accordingly  Hope this helps  - Thanks!

Feel free to try out the awesome Repuatation system - here, everyone give it a shot…See to the left? Right next to repuatation…yep, click that number…thats right…then just put a love note in for approval  Thats it! Yer done! =D

Just note: People can ding you for being angry/rude and others ding you to prevent you for talking smack about their products and people. Most are nice, a couple will abuse. Most who ding you will lie about it too. It’s an annoying system that bares a little truth and a lot of power over people who care. Best thing is to not care, doesn’t give you any more power or privaleges but it’s fun to collect.

Like the case of the “Neg Repper” incidents we had here a while back. This person would neg rep tons of posts just because they didn’t like the poster. Too bad, I really liked the person until they went to the “dark side”.

It is a good thing to do when you add some rep points to a post you like, so the author will be encouraged to post future quality post that will be enjoyed again. You can check the comments by clicking on “user CP” on the top left of the forum. I always try give the reps out when anyone have interesting thing or makes an effort in reporting some results, so they know that everything done is not in vain, and people actually like it
The rep power means the number of points you will add to someones’s profile everytime you rep them.

But I agree with sugarspice, doesn’t really mean anything serious, just for fun

I just want to make it clear that none of the staff of Androtics or myself (I am not staff) have never dinged someone for talking about the products good or bad.

If someone is abusing the neg reps in your opinion just let us know. We know who it is whether they sign it or not.

Other then that its all in good fun.

I think the vast majority of us rarely/never neg rep anyone. In my six months I have only negged one person, and both Tisha and SteveO also negged the user. He was an absolute idiot and had only 6 posts, then proceeded to insult SteveO and his girlfriend.

No worries Tish, I KNOW!!! You’re a tell it like it is kind of woman.. SugarSpice’s spidey senses increase a whole lot after my TAF + MEOEST spray to the head. I might forget where I am but my remote viewing skills are impeccable. Hahahaha. JK.

I already know the who(s), but wise man once said “what is over is over”. I don’t think I really want to know. But thanks for the offer. :o

This is why I like Androtics and don’t mind spend tons o’cash. No one is so emotionally attached to their product that they get defensive and start blaming people for not knowing how to use it. A review is just a review.

Anybody else been the victim of a drive-by rep’ing?

I didnt say I would tell you who because that would be a breach of privacy LOL But I would have a word with them if they were abusing it and zeroing in on 1 person over and over.

I know its hard to believe with all the rep points I have but I have been negged to. Dont let it bother you. Its just a opinion. If someone negs me for phero advice or something I said I will give the neg consideration but I rarely change my view or actions. If its just a “drive by” as tater mentioned and I get called a name like slut or something I just let it go.

Tisha

Basically what the bird is trying to say is. Rep points are a way of life. Its an important status. It determines who you know, see and are friends with. If your a low status person, you will probably be ignored entirely and/or pube fluffed. On the other hand, If you make it to be one of the great ones you will have many friends and might even succeed in life.

Watch out! any negative spreaders out there? Tish’sters coming after ya !:open_mouth:

Such unfortunate drama. - Over with now

The only drive by repping i do on a semi regular basis is try to make it to a computer on days i dont have time to post and use my alotted reps on peoples new posts with cool titles
