I am not a doctor or scientist but I do have training in pheromone use and human behavioral sciences. I am not employed by Androtics. As mentioned above pheromones are still very much being explored so you will find experienced people here but there are no real experts yet. That being said …
Thank you for providing some information on your condition and the meds your taking. This defiantly helps in answering your questions.
Your use of pheromones is a personal decision only you can make. Steveo and Androtics do not know what effect it will have on a person with anxiety disorder. Research has not advanced that far yet so they are morally obligated to take the safe approach and say they are not for you at this time. I tend to agree but if you do decide to try them I suggest you approach it very very carefully and at your own risk. There are a few reasons which I will cover below.
First off your on meds, Cipralex and Sedoxil are mind altering medications.
Not to concerned about cipralex which is used to control depression by preventing the brain from reabsorbing serotonin. Many pheromone users take anti depressants and have good results with pheromones
Sedoxil on the other hand is different. It is designed to slow the central nervous system, can put you in a hypnotic state and is a strong sedative.
Its used to control fear and behavior and to cause a reduction in mood as well as a few other unrelated things.
Obviously your doctor believes this is the treatment for you and I am not questioning that at all but pheromones effect the users behavior as well as people around them and may not interact well with sedoxil. pheromones increase mood, your doctor is giving you meds to decrease mood.
Secondly …
What your describing sounds to me like separation anxiety. Fear of being separated by death or other circumstances from loved ones and those close to you. Yes even by aliens as a child when you saw ET. This was probably triggered by the traumatic experience you went through as a child and being frightened and having to be separated from your parents due to hygiene reasons. As a adult you can understand the need for this. As a child it is very traumatic.
Now pheromones will not worsen separation anxiety as long as your confident in wearing them and not afraid they will have a adverse reaction. But just by asking for a expert opinion and voicing your concerns about side effects shows it is something that is on your mind and concerns you so it could possibly trigger anxiety in you.
Your doctor has already expressed that he feels there would be no problem using pheromones. I am not sure if he is familiar with them and many doctors do not believe them to be effective so they dismiss it as unharmful. On the other hand he knows you best and if he is familiar with pheromones then its best to listen to him.
To help lessen the possibly of subconscious thoughts and fears about using pheromones triggering anxiety. I think you need to be aware of a few things…
pheromones will not cure your disorder. They will not cause health risks, They do have side effects at times but they are mild and not permanent.
People with sensitive skin can sometimes get rashy just like when they use any other lotion or perfume type product. Its not permanent or harmful.
The smell of pheromones are not pleasant and you will pick up on them in some products. They are not unsanitary in any way despite the smell. In fact they are in a alcohol carrier so they are more sanitary.
You can get a headache from the smell if you are sensitive to scents to begin with. If cologne use has never bothered you in the past this will in all likelihood not bother you now.
Keep in mind that using them is designed to bring you closer to those around you not to separate them from you however I do urge that you do not use any product with Androstadienone in it or Androstenone in it. These two molecules are strong and can cause negative mood reactions.
If you make the decision to try pheromones, use pheromones that bring a feeling of well being and closeness. Instant Openness, Instant Honesty, Instant Shine, the sunshine series.
