Instan Female Magic: Experience

I tried this out in a group setting, and also alone on myself to see what happens and noted any self-effects. I also tried it in a group setting combined with WAGG. However, even with WAGG, the Instant Female Magic is overpowering.

I noted with this pheromone, initially there was a “chilled out” feeling, similar to a sedative in low dosage. Eventually this gave way to a quiet, flat feeling (affect blunting- psych term), as might be produced by an anticonvulsant drug (I used to have migranes, so I’ve got experience here), then this gave way to a maudlin/sentimental vibe combined with a feeling of “drained” or lowered energy.

The group all seemed effected by the pheromone, and it did not seem to have any distinctive effects on the female member- she too seemed to have the same reaction as the men (the subject in question is a middle-aged woman). Conversations in the group tended towards the maudlin or sentimental, talking about the past in a sentimental, fond tone, quiet and not jovial, and I noticed a slight emotional lability in myself (lability in this case means easily moved or change- one minute I could be “happy”, the next minute sad). I felt touchy and seemed to get upset over a slight remark another man made, and I came back with a retort, and an arguement ensued, but eventually was resolved. The remark was concerning a sentimental fondness I was feeling but not expressed (see where this is going- this stuff is pure sentimentality).

After a couple hours, alone, I felt like I wanted to cry for no reason. I wouldn’t describe the feeling as “depression” per se, as there were no feelings of guilt or hopelessness, but it was not the most pleasant. The effect lasted for quite some time, too.

I have heard this causes depression in some men. I don’t doubt it, and I wonder just how effective this stuff really is? It seems to me it is a hit-or-miss thing, definitely inappropriate without buffers in most people, and possibly inappropriate in all cases in a select few.

If I had to put a face on Instant Female Magic, it would be Alan Alda. Sentimental and maudlin, emotionally labile. I think this could well be a “negative” phero depending on the situation.

I will try this pheromone again in the future, alone, but will stop the experiment at the first sign of problems. For the moment I’m going to avoid it alone.

I have noted when combined with other pheromones, such as androstenone, it seems to enhance the perception that one is reading another person’s emotions, and perhaps increases empathy as well; it also gives a feeling of sentimentality, and enhances any feelings of selfless love (not lust or erotic love- you seem to care about people moreso). In fact this stuff feels like the “dumb struck”, quiet feeling you get when you look at somebody and fall in love, but without the joy or obsession that comes afterwards. Very similar feeling. I’ve been wearing this stuff off and on for days and it feels like every woman I see, I fall in love with when I take this stuff- no matter what she looks like. Wierd, huh? I’m normally a pretty open, accepting guy (and I think everybody is beautiful- well, everybody except Hitler or Saddam Hussein or other nasties), but I still found this a little unusual. Do women feel the same thing when exposed to this stuff?

I believe the effect lasts far longer than other pheros, however, and is contributing to the “drained” feeling I sometimes experience. I’m not sure if the pheromone in Instant Female Magic builds up or not, but I’m beginning to suspect, yes, it does. I also suspect that the dosage of the pheromone in Instant Female Magic (I forgot the name, androstenodione?) is on the “high” side. This is one of the strongest, most blatant pheromone products I have ever tried in its effects. Forget “deer in headlights” or trying to read vibes, this stuff has obvious effects on people.

That’s a pretty good assessment and it jives well with what’s been said by others. I think what was meant by others who said IFM had a “depressive” effect was that it was like a depressant, or a mood lowering agent. Not necessarily resulting in the state of depression, but definitely more subdued than normal. You said “maudlin”, and I think that hit the nail on the Hawkeye Pierce.

What do you think about the whole “chemistry of love”? thing. The “hit in the gut” feeling was very similar, a very humble feeling, like you are standing in front of something very big and you are very small. I might try diluting this stuff by 1/2 or 3/4 and see what happens, it’s way too strong for me to wear otherwise.

PS, could one of the mods please fix the spelling error in the title of the thread. How embarassing. I guess I new a new keyboard

Great report! Reps. The day I became interested in pheros was the day I was blindsided by an emotion very similar to the one you are describing here. A girl was wearing a perfume that made me dizzy with the “geronimo” feeling of love…the kind of intoxicated neediness also known as “love sickness”. (Sorry, not sure what she was wearing, but it may have been “Very Sexy” by Victoria’s Secret).

Anyway, it sounds like Instant Female Magic creates a similar sense of longing…more like the feeling you get when you’re lying awake at night after getting dumped, just craving the nearness of the one that got away. Does this sound like what you experienced? I’d like to hear more about how this phero affects women, and whether it’s merely a calming PMS-neutralizer (as most posts here assert) or a bittersweet “geronimo” phero as you suggest.

Yeah man, love sickness, the “punched in the gut” feeling when you realize you aren’t just attracted to somebody, but you love them and want to be with them forever. Although I actually find the feeling to be wonderful  in some ways. I don’t think Instant Female Magic, taken on its own is quite the same, because there is no object to worship. Taken on its own, it just feels a little wierd. Also feels a bit wierd in a group setting where you aren’t romanticly attracted to anybody, you get “nostalgic”. Bingo… “nostalgia”.

This might be some kind of chemical message when you are attracted to somebody in a profound way (you want to “be the father of their babies”, and not just have sex). It might say “I care about you and will protect you”, while at the same time, creating feelings in the male of endearment. Just an hypothesis.

Perhaps women do experience Instant Female Magic differently than men. Perhaps women should we wearing this stuff, and not men, to catch Mr. Right? (note that it will alter a woman’s menstrual cycle, though, and has some other reproductive effects on women as well).

OK we’re on the same page then. Not sure what you mean by “taken on its own” above…are you saying Instant Female Magic is pointless without a target nearby? If so, that makes sense. Here’s what doesn’t make sense…a quick exploration of the Ladies Forum reveals that women aren’t experiencing this “punched in the gut” feeling you articulated so well:

I’m saying if you take it with you sitting alone, you will start to feel a “punched in the gut” feeling. Very mild with 1 spray, but you’ll feel “empty”, like something is missing. It’s a calm feeling, really, but it isn’t uplifting… total opposite of some of those womens descriptions. I sort of envy them, because the feeling in men isn’t so cool. I wouldn’t call it depression ,but “longing” is close. “Man, I want to fill the void in my life” kind of feeling. In high doses I suspect it would start to eat away at your soul. I’m not kidding on that one. I think overexposure a few nights ago contributed, along with androsterone, to some very dark and disturbing feelings I had lying in that bed (all I did was three sprays during the day, plus alot of androstenone- I felt like I’d descended to the bottom rung of the Inferno, sex, despondency, emptiness, aggression, all those feelings were there. I strongly suspect Instant Female Magic builds up just like androstenone).

Mixed with other pheros (like androstenone) in “real world” situations, it just seems to give you a sensitive, metrosexual edge, and you seem to want to please women more and you see every remotely attractive woman as beautiful and special- you may find yourself being attracted to a wider circle of women than before- you may find “homely” women much more beautiful than before, and more willing to overlook their physical attributes (wrinkles seem to disappear- I admit I wan’t attracted to the elderly, but the middle aged women started looking way more beautiful- the lust was more like a “I want to cherish you forever” feeling than “I want to sleep with you”). Women in your presence also seem to be somewhat more calm, especially if they are young. I’ve gotten obvious indicators of interest using nothing but androsterone and Instant Female Magic, but it isn’t the most pleasant combo as you feel like a total desexualized wimp that’s been punched in the gut (what’s the term for a man that sucks up to a woman? ah, “pussy whipped”, sorry ladies)…

BTW, the woman in my observational experiment has medical issues- she has very little estrogen or testosterone. She DID NOT get warm and fuzzy, she got maudlin same as the men. There was no calming effect and being near her did NOT lift her mood, it made it even more maudlin. This may not work on menopausal or older women very well, and probably works best on women during their period.

“It seemed to make my husband act very humble around me”- bingo. Obviously connected to the “falling in love” thing. Probably a good one for women to use to manipulate men! Gosh darn it, there goes our little secret… Keep using women, guys, and forget the “love” thing, it’s chemical warfare  (just kidding). Seriously, women might want to find some other way if they can to deal with their periods, because if they use it at work, it might cause “issues”. It can make men “uneasy”. The only other thing is they will think they are in love with you- they look at you and get that “punched in the gut” feeling and start following you around.

Based on the sedative reaction, I can see how this would “calm” the irritability and moodiness of menstruation. In this effect, it’s really no more than an evolutionary “male substitute”, an emotional vibrator, since this stuff mostly comes from men- maybe it’s a way to draw women towards men at the time of ovulation. Again, Women 2 - Men 0.

Very interesting observations Daedelus - reps to you.

I think you hit well on the “depressed” male side and expanded it even further. A BIG help. I have only had something like this happen once when wearing it. The other interesting thing is that you mention the girl has medical issues and reacted the same as the guys. By bet would be low estrogens causing her testosterone to be proportionally higher to make her react more like a guy.

Boss, the woman in question essentially has almost no sex hormones left, she is defiintely not “masculine” though. I was actually hoping Instant Female Magic would work on this particular person, but it didn’t. Instead, she reacted the same as the men, or had no real visible reaction (she was the farthest from me, the person closest seemed the most “tranquilized” and was the quietest). This may be idiosyncratic, a false reaction/placebo (or groupthink, there are other ways to communicate besides pheros after all):
Brain response to putative pheromones in homosexual men IVANKA SAVIC et al / PNAS v.102, n.20 7356-7361 17may2005

Apparrently this chemical in IFM is practically a “litmus test” for being gay or straight in males. Gay men will react to it usually the same as straight women- it stimulates the same part of the brain. The study didn’t look at bisexuals. Heterosexual men do not experience this pheromone chemical as being “sexual” in nature, but gay men and straight women do, they find it comforting sexually. I can’t find any abstracts on what it does to straight males, other than it raises skin temperature in male test subjects, and lowers it in women. It also seems to affect nervous system tone in both men and women.

The only other research I could find on men was that it effected mens moods largely negatively, though far less than Estratetraenol . It seems to be largely a negative experience for men, negative mood. I think it signals to women that an available man is nearby to satiate their needs and make babies, but it’s not great for men to be around psychologically- we make it but we don’t like to be around it. This again boosts my hypothesis that “negative pheromones” can indeed build up on a person’s body - the “clean shower” feeling is more than just 20th century prudishness and Madison Avenue.

So, in short, Instant Female Magic is a product that men should use with caution, perhaps in low doses and well buffered with other pheromones that will make you feel good, and aware that you will feel “open” to more women, and sensitive at the same time. In isolation it can bring you down and make you feel beaten/whipped, especially if you are a sensitive person. I wouldn’t be surprised if this chemical were somehow involved in depression in males- many depressed males forgo bathing, and this probably makes the situation worse as their energy levels will be sapped and they will be moody. I also wouldn’t be surprised if this chemical were part of some “plot” by the selfish gene to get guys to fall for women in general. Remember, according to evolutionary biologists it is to a man’s benefit to be less choosey than a woman. Instant Female Magic definitely makes me feel less choosey, that’s for sure.

I also suspect women emitting Estratetraenol have some kind of influence over men, as well. I’ve noticed men in love can often be horribly manipulated by women. The women do not seem to share the same level of susceptability to manipulation in these situations. E-aenol seems to cause men to “cower”, from the studies I read it causes negative emotions, a feeling of belittlement or sentimentality perhaps (“you owe me something” sort of thing), similar to androstadienone but greater.

Obviously, if we have learned nothing else, we have learned that women should watch more MASH and sappy romances with Alan Alda, during their time of the month. And spare us poor men being kicked in the nuts with IFM. Get your androstadienone the old fashioned way- from a man.
