It is forceful but that is exactly why I use it. My work was a very male-dominated field - full of alphas. I used it on those days when things needed to go the way I said without a lot of conversation. Or I would go heavy with the A314 with nothing to buffer it. But it is not something I would want to do every day either so I understand exactly what you are saying.
I am not sure how old you are but I would imagine a lot of younger people might feel a little uncomfortable if they are not used to having to be IN CHARGE nor be in the position to have to be a strong leader like that. It is not my prefered leadership style but there are some days when I need to shift into that mode.

“I have found myself flipping back and forth between A314 - usually buffered with Instant Shine or Instant Honesty and Instant Gentleman. The good part is that I people react to me in a combination of both: strong respect, sometimes a little distance, think of me as younger than I am, and come to me for advice or to use me as a “sounding board”. Even overheard some younger folks - mixed male and females - who saw me and whispered - “Oh - it’s bosshank. He is the cool …” That caught my attention because I did not even realize this particular group even noticed me other than to be one of the “older people” who are at this one locale.”
