I tried taking this blue manna supplement twice. Didn’t see any effects whether self or not. After reading this thread I think I won’t take any more of it… or perhaps I could open the capsules and mix with some water or something else and see if it has any pheromone effect…
@Boudicca - These results are very preliminary, but I will go into more detail after further testing. The first time trying a pheromone it is difficult to distinguish specific effects from natural changed in circadian rhythm, etc.
PEA is definitely related to drug substances, but I wouldn’t be afraid of it. It’s endogenous and easily metabolized.
@Pheonix - I’m surprised you saw no effects at all. Maybe it is destroyed in the digestive tract?
Elsewhere I have written a guide on how to prepare supplements containing suspected pheromones for pheromone testing. If you google around a bit you’ll probably come across it.
Dunno what the “blue manna” is but yes, PEA is destroyed in the digestive tract.
I’ve taken PEA in pre-workout supplements. They pair it with something that causes it to not be destroyed and allows it to work. I don’t remember what the molecule they pair it with is. But I can tell you I was super motivated on this stuff, much more than any other pre workout I have taken. All the other ingredients where chemicals I have used before, so I am pretty certain it was the PEA I had noticed the effects from.I am completely sure it was not the caffiene in the product. I am pretty used to those effects lol.
A lot of nutritional supplements are destroyed in the gut. Taking an antacid high in calcium along with some ginger root can help to reduce the damage done to certain molecules.
You can get some pure PEA from vendors like Onsalesupplements.com i must warn its very very bitter.
I had 1000mg per go and i must say i felt very relaxed for next 15 minutes
