I am very new myself, but am super excited about trying the pheromones. I am also in a similar situation as you, in that I was in a relationship for a long time, and am also a bit rusty.
Although I have not yet received my first order, I have a really good feeling about the pheromones.
Also, pheromones are not only useful for dating and romantic attraction. They acn also serve other purposes as well. For example, besides dusting off my dating skills, I also want to increase the respect I receive at work, and be more skillful at negotiating financial bargains.
Used properly and in the correct amounts,and in the right situations, I believe pheromones can help.
This forum is a wealth of useful and honest information, I do not believe it is only to “sell” products. There are negative observations as well as positive ones. There are also many wonderful and friendly experienced users who are more than happy to share their knowledge with us newbies.

I won’t go to much into the relationship but as I said, I work at the same place as her and am curious to see if she acts differently if I come up and say hello.
Other than that…I look a little bit like a “tough guy” and am in ok shape…but I’m really easy going for the most part and am a genuinely nice guy. My Looks are average I’d say but not bad. My peronality is…well, once I know people I’ll always get them laughing. I flirt with women but rarely approach them. I’d like to have women approach me in a bar or in a an eating establishment…things like that. I just want an edge to break the ice. I think my blood type is B (it asked on the details).
I was about to order Shine 2X and TUTH 1X on the go sprays.
That came to about 30 bucks but I decided to hold off and wait for the $25. off thing so I could maybe try one more thing and see how those work. Do you have any recommendations?

Instant Shine is always a good phero, very versatile…it goes well with any combo, but you can use it on its own as well.
Why did you pick TUTH? It’s a very sexual phero 
Most guys head straight for the sexual ones but they forget that women usually go for the less full on approach… TUTH is usually recommended to be used either once you get to the bedroom, or if you are out on the pull looking for a ONS…not really for dating as it sends out the “Im after one thing” vibe…
If you want “general dating” or attraction I’d go for ammo… it’s not as overtly sexual as TUTH and works like a charm on the ladies
I would also recommend either Insant Openness or Instant Honesty. They are both social phero’s that are really good for improving communication. IO increases the quantity of communication whereas IH increases the quality. People will be more relaxed and chatty around you

Just FYI, I ordered Instant Sexiness A, Instant Shine 2x, MX300, and MX135.
I think the guys pheromones are slightly different from the women’s, though I believe that each has equivalents of the other’s, and some can be used by everyone.
I noticed that there seems to be a larger variety of men’s pheromones than women’s (hmmph!), but I think the best approach might be to start with “base” products, that you can add to, or mix with others as your collection grows. Don’t quote me, but I believe that the “Instant” line of pheromones are "base: products, start with those, and then play and modify as you becaome more comfortable and experienced.
Michaelia (I hoped I spelled it right) who takes the orders at the 800 number was wonderfully helpful with helping me decide on my ultimate purchases, she might be a good person to talk to.
Also, the men’s section of the forum. Don’t be shy or afraid to ask questions. It is better to ask and get the right thing than to waste time and money on something that might not be right for you.

Xiphoid makes a very valid point. If you want to go for ONS then by all means go for TUTH. It sends a very blatant ‘I want to fuck, now’ signal which attracts some women, equally it also repels some. I would suggest you go for the double strength ammo, us guys in our 30s need a little more oomph and it saves us having to spray a load on and overloading on the cologne.
Unfortunately for the shy guys, most ladies prefer for us guys to make the initial approach, pheromones are not going to have the girls climbing over each other to give you their number ( well not usually but it has been known!). Instant Shine will give you a bit more confidence and will also make you ‘shinier’ when you break the ice. Get your GC, grab a couple of to go bottles just to get a feel for the pheros and get out there, you’ll do fine and I’ll bet that you’ll be back for more.
Well I’ve been reading up…maybe in some ways I’m typical…but have never been big on one night stands. I just want to get out there and meet some women so I’m stuck stuck with just one until I want to be. I’d like to be seeing a few girls I guess or at least have a few numbers. I didnt see anyone say AMMO 2X, you dont need more with mones. More is not better. In fact it can give you the OD effect. Opposite of desired effect. Double AMMO is more for guys over 40 or men who find when they use the regular strength they need more then 4 or more sprays. Test with the to-go size regular strength first and decide the if you need double. Why spend the money if you really dont have to. Shhhh dont tell management I said that LOL 
I do suggest AMMO over TUTH for general attraction and mild arousal. TUTH is blatant, it says I am primed and ready to mate. It has very little depth.
I do suggest IO and Ishine to go with them.
IO helps break the ice and Ishine is magnetic and adds charisma.

Do you think that is something I should consider?
I was considering trying these Chakira gel packs too from Love scent. I know that this product is from another company but thought maybe some one must have heard something. All the reviews I saw seemed like advertisements.

No I would consider the origonal oil A314 for your situation. It lasts longer because Oil diffuses more slowly and the others are still experiments.
Love scent has some good stuff, Chakira is not the top favorite but its up there. I would consider scent of eros gel pack or the edge.

First I’ll see what these do…should I try 2 or 3 at a time.
Maybe after I get it…I’ll take a stroll by the ex at work and say “hello” -see if I notice anything.

No its best to test them out one at a time first so you can find the correct dosage that works for you and see exactly what each one does. If you have them all on you wont know which one did what. After you do that then create combos by layering the products.
Distance… depends on environment as well. Obviously outdoors you would need to be with in 5 feet or be down wind but indoors the range is further especially since when you move around neroli leaves a vapor trail. (sillage). Just like with our other senses Hearing, sight etc etc you olfactory senses can pinpoint where the signal is coming from in the subconscious mind. Indoors it can be 5 to 10 feet or more depending on the situation.
Exposure time is generally 3 to 5 minutes but some peoples brains process faster then others and its not unusual to get instant reactions. The longer you in there vicinity the stronger the signal is though.
Keep in mind that for those who know you closely like (mom dad sister GF) it will take longer (sometimes a few exposures) to process and respond because they have preconceived notions about you and know your natural mone signature. They need time to register and process this new vibe. Of course family members wont be attracted to you but they will (especially moms) know there is something different they don’t feel familiar with about you LOL. Moms don’t like to see rapid change in there kids no matter how old. They bonded with your natural mone signature since birth.
