Exciting times indeed. Met up with the girl like I said, we spend the next three hours having coffee, lunch, and long discussions about all manner of things. She also vented about issues she’s been having with her current boyfriend - but only after hinting and me inviting her to go on. Going by her body language, and the general way things went, I’d say the Ammo SE certainly did its job, and the P102 may have had some play in there - making her more ready to air her dirty laundry. The fact that, body language wise, I was confident but open to her probably diminished some of A314’s effects. Certainly she trusted me utterly, but there wasn’t the “I’m so grateful to be getting your attention” and I think that was because I was giving it in a way that implied “I’m enjoying what you’re doing with this attention”.
As for the staff angle, A314 continues to impress me. In fact, I’ll rewind a little - we go into the coffee shop, guy greets us as we come in the door, brings menus over, heads off after giving a smile and such. We look at menus a while, I’m organised first, the minute my menu hit the table he was walking over to ask if I was ready to order. I glance sideways, see a shake of the head, say “a couple more minutes”. “Of course sir.” Soon as she’s ready, I turn my head towards the counter and he came straight over, despite this being lunchtime. Order arrives promptly, a while through we want more drinks, and again as soon as I looked round he came straight over with a “yes sir?”. Sir, all over the place. After we’re done chatting for hours, I barely start moving my head (granted, he was heading in our vague direction already) and I’m hearing “yes sir?”. Bill is brought to me, placed for my attention, and the girl doesn’t even attempt to look at it. Not in the “why should I?” way, in the “he has claimed it” way.
Skipping ahead timewise to later in the afternoon, I stopped by an outdoors shop to get a pair of laces for walking shoes and a couple of things for a present for a friend. Store manager greets me as I’m entering, takes me to where everything I want is, gives me lots of description and recommendations as to which without me even asking. Later, I needed to pick up a bunch of wine for some committee thank yous at an event this weekend I’m part of the organising team of (there will be much testing of A314 there, though quite how I’ll find time to write everything down - between attendees, industry-name guests, and venue management - I don’t know). Stop by Oddbins, once again the manager greets me and proceeds to spend an hour taking me around the entire store recommending bottles in the right approximate price range, going into a wealth of detail, virtually ignoring other customers except for the couple of times I notice them near the counter (no sales assistants on duty at the time) and suggest he should tend to them. It’s a level of service that you’re normally surprised to get, and I’m getting it twice in two shops. Sure, could be coincidence, but I doubt it.
Sadly, however, by the time I was meeting people this evening it had probably worn off - as I recall, the sprays tend to last around four hours, and the oils eight? Certainly, there wasn’t anything particular I’d note as a hit. I’ll be seeing at least one of them at the weekend event, so we’ll see what we get then.
I’m at a Google Developers Group meetup on Thursday, so will definitely be wearing some A314 then. Tomorrow, well, perhaps I’ll manage to meet up with another group of friends and look for effects there.
