Well technically that area isn’t all that dirty…I mean, it’s covered up the vast majority of the day, about the only dirtiness you get down there is sweat. It’s just a courtesy thing…you might know yours is clean but you don’t know about anyone else’s.
There’s a joke I like about professors from two rival universities:
"At a symposium break, professors from rivals A and B wound up in the men’s room at the same time. The professor from University A used the urinal and then washed his hands thoroughly, while the faculty member from University B finished his business at the urinal, combed his hair, and started to leave.
"The professor from A loudly, stridently and smugly intoned ‘At University A, we teach our students to wash their hands after they urinate’ and adopted a superior mein.
"To which the professor from B gently responded: ‘At B University, we teach our students not to pee on their hands.’"
Remind me to never shake hands with you guys.
I wash my hands every day!
And I bathe/shower now and then, too!
Actually, I wash my hands more than anyone I know – sometimes as little as once every thirty minutes or so – but more often upwards of seventy times a day, as a part of work.
im sure a large part of the difference in behavior is also privacy. urinals are close together and rarely have dividers between them, which is why a lot of guys get “stage fright” and prefer to use a stall. speaking, and not only to strangers, is also awkward because most PEOPLE im sure would prefer to not have anyone looking at them while peeing. this is the mindset most guys have in bathrooms in my opinion which is why making friends with other guys in a bathroom doesnt happen often. ladies however have much more privacy in stalls, and also use bathrooms for mirrors and god knows what else, so im sure its easier for them to speak to each other. and i always thought most guys dont flush because its cool to not clean up after yourself. as for washing hands, in my experiance guys around my age have decent hygene, but middle aged men seem to almost sprint from urinal to door.
do girls think guys dont know about that??
I have to chime in here, Realize that women aren’t standing side by side with their penises hanging out of their pants, and urinating. They are in separate stalls and their anatomy isn’t in view. How would a woman react to a man with his penis in his hands? Casual? sexual? indifferent?
I think men react according to how comfortable they are with their own sexuality, and how well they know whoever they are talking to.
Men who have been athletes, or in the military are usually more comfortable talking in the restroom.
But lets ask, how would women react if the stalls were removed?
What if you’re suddenly sitting side by side with a stranger and no walls?
You also must realize that there is a rather large “underworld” of bathroom cruising, and many straight guys have encountered this, but just don’t mention it, fearing that they will be be asked “how did you know he was coming on to you”. It can be unnerving for a straight guy to realize the guy next to him is “checking him out”. Just like many women don’t like having to say, “my eyes are up here”, many guys don’t like to have to say the same thing. LOL!
J.
I’ve made a lot of friends in the bathroom and we go out sometimes and have fun. but only fun nothing more..
What from I’ve learnt, theres like a guy code when taking a piss:
- When in the toilet and eye contact is made with a stranger, a quick nod of the head or a simple “hows it goin?” is enough just to be poilte.
- Unless catching up with a friend from way back, the only talk will be a quick comment about the chick with miniskirt or how shit the DJ is.
- When approaching a piss troff, most other guys will usually shuffle across so yourself and other users are evenly spaced apart.
- When your on the piss troff, you look up or straight ahead. Only look down when your ready to shake, never look sideways.
- Always compliment your own fart or at least make a sound of relief once finished. It’s the male room equivalent of “excuse me”.
- When your finished you leave. Don’t linger around in the mirror taking up space in front of the sink so other blokes have to wait to wash.
Thats all I can think of at the moment…
I went to a Nickelback concert a few years back. After the show every man and his dog must have been in the toilets waiting to take a piss. It was a big room, there must have been at least 25 meters worth of troff along the walls and it was full. None of the guys were worried about being close to each other they were all standing shoulder to shoulder. It was so crowded I was actually standing a little bit sideways just to fit in! :o
I say: Wash your hands before you pee as your penis is clean.
If ya’ll want an example of territory marking, go to a bathroom at a guy’s dorm at a college. I swear, people pee everywhere BUT the toilet. If you have to… um… #2, 9 out of 10 times you have to wipe off urine residue on the seat, and clean up the puddle underneath the toilet so it doesn’t get on your pants. And then flush the toilet that was unflushed.
One of my biggest pet peeves is having to clean up after someone else. And if I am in a bad mood and I catch someone not cleaning up their own toilet, I WILL fight them over it if it comes to that. It’s almost happened once. ![]()
