Anyone experience their New Warrior Training?
I’m pretty much sold on going either in September or their December weekend warrior training.
If you have had the experience, I would love to hear your thoughts.

I haven’t personally participated in the mankind project, but my dad got really into it recently, and it seems to have helped him in some ways, but he also got some pretty bad ideas from it, and I don’t know if he took what they were saying and ran with it or if they were really pushing some of these ideas. Either way, I’d say that it could be great but just keep your own truth in mind and just put aside any ideas that go against what you think is right. I’ve also been looking at their trainings and I might go, so let me know how it is if you go.
These types keep popping up everyday. That’s not to say they aren’t good, but wow is it tough to keep tabs these days. So what do you think you’re going to gain from them?
The first thing on the list is “He cleans up after himself”.
Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it is kind of odd for that to be the opening line of a New Warrior credo. I wouldn’t be surprised if this whole thing is the brainchild of a feminist.
After reaching out to speak to someone with the “project,” for some reason I got put into a group that was for predominantly gay men. I am not homophobic, but after researching some of the goings on at these things… lots of naked dancing and singing and some really strange behavior that is incredibly demeaning, I just got creeped out by the whole thing.
No offence but what ever happened to good old camping and fishing trips with just the guys.
You dont have to pay a bunch of dudes to dance naked in the woods with you. Just get a couple of friends together, a few bottles of Jack Daniels and your fishing tackle, tent and rod and head out and get a little wild and crazy. Skinny dip, sing dirty limericks, bitch about your girlfriends, laugh cry and share your emotions and just have fun. Make it a yearly ritual.
If you cant do that with your friends I certainly wouldn’t suggest doing it with a bunch of naked strangers. Frankly paying someone to take you out in the woods so you can all stand around crying naked is not my ideal of a warrior unless you wanna be Zena the warrior princess. Not that men shouldn’t show emotion or cry but hell even women dont gather naked in the woods to cry. Where in history is it recorded that men did this ?
Dont get me wrong I think male bonding and men sharing friendships and emotions with each other is very important and time should be made for it. I think men needs this ritualistic time together without the influence or presence of females. I think self improvement and self examination are important. I even like to sit around naked alot. I just think you should try the old fashioned way before going to such a extreme.

LOL I did say after researching it I got creeped out by it…so no I did not go. 
Fight Club is the way to go. Yes I’m serious. There’s nothing quite like getting your ass kicked to grow some hair on your chest

We have that rule about not talking about it, but nothing says I can’t write about it. Its a technicality really, but it really helps. Although they were a little pissed when I had the Billboard commissioned over Memphis. We took it out in the pit instead.
I guess I’m the only one that is going to remark on you sitting around naked a lot. I want you to know that I have no problem with this.
Well thank you, the neighbors freak out once in a while LOL
They shouldnt be looking in my back yard anyways its fenced off for a reason (snort)
