No there is no connection.. Although maybe he shops for scents there once in a while Who knows LOL 
It’s amazing cos I saw that 2 weeks ago, after getting my sephora card in a shop where the guy working there told me about diffusion according to the climate, the fact of subliming ( is that right?) others with more alcohol in the scent or oneself with less alcohol and more essential oils… a complete course reminding me what I’ve been reading here and that no other perfume vendor ever told me before !
Anyway, Sephora is definitely the best place to buy scent with professional advisors…
