I’ll be frank with you. This is my first post. I’ve never felt the need or urge to register with this site… until recently. I’ve come here today to set the record straight & clear up any misconceptions surrounding the enigma that is Michael Harris.
There are a couple of peeps on this site who are posting unflattering remarks about Michael H. One can only imagine what their agenda is…? Are they right to think Michael isn’t normal? You bet! I can confirm from personal experience that there is NOTHING normal about this man. Natural? Yes. Normal… No! I’d even go as far as revealing that he is a tad eccentric!
Michael also happens to be one of the kindest, expansive and most loving souls I’ve come across on this planet. I’ve yet to befriend an individual who is as passionate about making this world a better place for ALL of us.
Here’s the bottom line: When someone launches an inappropriate attack against another Phero Talk member, the site moderators step in to gently remind that person they are addressing another human being. This simple reminder is often enough to awake an awareness of consideration and respect. Peace is restored.
However, when someone starts knocking the moderators or site owners whose role is it to step in and inject a little love? In other words who protects the protector?
The reality is most moderators simply delete any nasty and vicious personal attacks. The fact that a couple of disgruntled members comments are left posted is a testament to the kind of people who run PheroTalk. There are not many organisations who are that tolerant and transparent!
Anyway, I could go on sharing my own experiences of Michael and his crew, telling you what lovely people they are. Instead I invite you to share your experiences and spread the love. I’m sure that would lighten Michael’s soul and lift his spirits. Sharing gratitude is a powerful thing.
With this in mind, Thank You Michael for being one of the good guys… I appreciate you BIG time and love you and your family eternally.
Peace.

Well… i have talked with Michael H. a couple of times.
I admire his will and effort in every well.
What he is trying to do is almost equal to the impossible.
There are allot of bad people out there. more than the good ones.
Intact the good ones are no more than 10%… 50% goes for the ones with bad intentions and the rest .. just dont care about anything.
So yea… we live in a f*cked up world.
As soon as you start to make a difference you will be taken down.
sad but true.
I wish M.H. everything good and i know he is stronger than the others.
Just logged in this morning to write a few updates, and to try slowly tackle my pile o’ PMs, and I see this as the first time in the headlines.
The first thing actually that went through my head was kind of funny, I guess. It was literally “Oh no! They’ve modified a Sony camera with the infrared feature, slapped on a polarized lens, and they’re now going to show me in my underwear at Dunkin Donut’s eating a cruller!”
Well, I’m glad that’s not the case. Phew!
That fact of the matter is, I very rarely eat a donut, nevermind a cruller (the shape of which itself is a little suggestive of something embarassing, shall we say). Let’s just put that out there right now.
Yes, we all make nutrtitional mistakes sometimes, but I can ensure you all that donut eating a not a habit. I would’ve hating being associated with that due a bit of stress eating I’ve done over the past couple months. Just keep in mind that I’ve eaten a far higher ratio of broccoli.
Anyway, hi, John! Not sure why you used the name Hairy Brain, but hey, I guess humility is best.
For anyone that doesn’t know, John is often found on the self-help circuit, constantly self-improving – and you know, becoming an ever better person and all that good stuff.
Business wise, he does some mentorship over in the UK, and as he’s grown as a person, he’s come to find himself working almost exclusively with elevated businesses to help take the planet to the next level. For example, he’s recently worked to help popularize new fuel cell technology, that kind of thing.
I’m sure if Malcolm Bricklin actually wants to get another “safety car” on the market, John will be there in some capacity.
To say the least, John is a jolly good guy, or “chap” as it were, and I appreciate the heck out of him.
Anyway, John, thanks for longing in to lend some support! I appreciate the heck out of you, buddy. Hopefully we get to talk soon, but I’ll address your concerns here.
Yes, we certainly do have a different “moderation” style here than most forums or
bullet boards" out there have. It’s more like a house guest style, party host… or what for those of you who know the store “Trader Joes” might call a Trader Joe’s management style. The idea is to keep things as friendly and nice as possible, very civilized, but, of course, with a minimum of spam or other instrusions that can make “online get together” a little less than nice.
When problems happen, that means reminding people of their humanity, and suggesting they kiss and make up whenever possible. Just like at a real get together in a physical space, if they get drunk and insane enough, you kick 'em out (but only if you really have to)
After years of doing this, I think we’re banned under 10 real people (could be under 5), and maybe 2000 spambots. Again, you only kick people out of the party when you really have to. All in all, not bad, consdering that we’ve had over 14k real and legitimate guests who’ve managed to get along more than they haven’t.
I think the only thing that may be a “problem” right now is about 6 folks who unusually vocal – to the point of hijacking threads, taking hostages when necessary, and being as irrational as possible over absolutely nothing. There’s a seemingly intentional behavior to make mountains out of molehills, and to even create rumors and almost Op Mockingbird style disinfo out of whole cloth.
Now that I’ve taken the meta view, it’s really quite a ridiculous thing to see.
Reading more closely and doing some other light investigation, I now see that these folks aren’t just gaming me, they’re sometimes outright attacking lots of people, including a wonderful scientist from your neck of the woods in London. Someone who doesn’t agree with any hoopla, and prefers to focus on facts before fiction (and focusing on data from studies as available) when it comes to technology. A man after my own heart, and the kind of person I want to have the most freedom here.
Anyway, I’ll either nice the hijackers to death like they do in the Switzerland (I always loved how the Swiss rehab people stupid enough to commit a crime within their borders), or ultimately just have to kick them out, too. I haven’t managed to suffer from Stockholm Syndrome quite yet, so…
Picking on me is one thing, but attacking other guests… or worse? Well, those are all of that’s just major “nonos”.
Tolerance can only go so far when I see misbehavior of this kind.
At some point, even at a party, you just have to put your foot down and do whatchya got to do. Not what you want to do, necessary, but hey… some people ask for it. As much as I hate to fulfill a negative request, there are some that just adamantly refuse to interact with others in a civil, sane manner, and just insist. I guess they haven’t learned the secret to kindness yet.
Anyway, John, thanks for popping up. If there’s anything I can do for you, let me know. If you could pick a forum name that’s perhaps a little less “cheeky”, you might even be able to find just the type of people you like here that aren’t necessarily from the UK. I get you just fine, but not everyone understands UK humour. ![]()
Darn and here I was hoping for those donut pictures too
lol
Out in public in your boxers? Even I’m not that bold.
John, thanks for putting into words something I’ve wanted to say for awhile but haven’t really been able to express properly.
Michael is a good guy a really good guy.
It is not even remotely fair that people cut other people a break but forget that business owners and moderators are people too.
I think really its quite enough of the fuss for now there are other matters of greater import to be dealt with. There is always a time and place to deal with things.
Like I said before this is a time to pull together and support each other not tear each other down.
Its time to act like mature reasonable people and think rationally.
Time to take other things into account besides our own selfish wants and needs.
Lol and its time for me to run off and tickle my little boy. He’s 5 today.
Up until recently I have no first hand communications with Michael and I have been a member for a over 1.5 years, but earlier this week we exchanged PM’s over some issues I had in general.
In doing so I realized how much he cares about people in general and the world of pheros.
He also has lots of generosity, he is a stand up guy and I realize he is dealing with a lot of things at once and can only do so much.
I am going to have to disagree with that statement, and say the opposite, I would say there are more good people then bad people, it just the bad people usually are noticed more. Bad news is spread faster, it is what sells unfortunately. I say most people have good intentions and should be given the benefit of the doubt. It just a small percentage that are truly evil.
Cheer Cheer
Over-exuberant pessimism is inherently anti-constructive
Well no…let me explain…
People are mean and full of envy. They wait until you are most vulnerable and hit you hard. Some are doing it for profit or gaining something.. and some just for fun.. they enjoy watching you suffer!
Everyone that have a good running company knows that you have to watch your back all the time ![]()
Let me give you just a review of my last 2 weeks.
I found my car in the morning with 1 flatten tire (it was thorn up with a knife).
Ok i got a new one the same day.
The next morning i am finding my car with 3 thorned up TIRES.
ok … i bought 3 new tires… and i parked my car at another place where its not that notable.
and guess what ???
i find my car in the morning with broken windows and opened doors.. my document and allot of thing ware stollen.
a couple of days later.. i received a letter, a company is suing me again. (i won the last case)…
but they insist on making my life harder
My girl gets phone calls all the time … people saying lyes and damaging her mentally.
And this is the sorry from the past 2 weeks ONLY!
So i know what MH is going through!
and this is why i stand for my theory about people.
You probably dont have this problems.(Yeeaaa this way the world is a
wonderful place)
But as soon you become “someone” … and you are a nice… get ready for allot of trouble…
I think people have to be afraid of you.. so they wont touch you … i was nice and they stepped all over me ![]()
sorry but thats what i think…
I hope in your country there are more people as Michael.
but at mine… they are rare breed, and usually dont last long.
sorry if i am offending someone but.. right now i am a little affected
by the company that sues me for no reason
I agree that many many people here are informative, friendly, helpful and fun.
Now where are those doughnuts??
I have some that I would be willing to let go for a small “fee.” The guys from TMZ haven’t gotten back to me yet, but I’m open to negotiations. Oh and don’t let Harris fool you, it was a jelly donut with a big grape stain on his white T-Shirt.
I was perusing on the forum and felt I must step in here to this thread. For anyone who may not know, I have been working for Androtics for the last year and some months.
Androtics by far is the most caring company I have worked for - possibly ever known. Genuinely caring as well - the kind of company who rewards you “just because,” without any manipulative vendetta. What makes a caring company are the people behind it, just how a gourmet cupcake isn’t gourmet when it’s made with cheap, imitation ingredients. Quality and kindness breed goodness, and Michael Harris is a fantastic example of that.
I just got back from vacation as forum members know - but where did I come back from? An amazing experience which Michael was personally responsible for. Michael sent me to Hollyhock, which is an educational retreat on the beautiful Cortes Island in Canada’s British Columbia. The visionary artist Alex Grey was conducting a workshop, a visionary arts intensive that I was so privileged to be a part of.
I was nestled in between lush forests and sandy beaches and stuffed three times a day with gourmet home-cooked vegetarian meals…met a slew of kind individuals who all were searching for their peace and how they could bring peace to others. I met artists, healers, mothers, fathers, and everyone in between. It was relaxing and rejuvenating.
Hollyhock has a mission to make the world a better place, and I couldn’t think of anyone more in line with that than Michael. In fact, everyone I encountered asked how I had heard about the workshop, or how I had come to know about Hollyhock. (This was my first trip to Canada!) I was so pleased to be able to share that my boss was responsible! You can imagine the shock of most, as “the boss” is so typically someone to avoid or live in fear of. Strangers were thunderstruck by the utter kindness that I had been so fortunate to have been touched by. Isn’t this a world we want to live in however? A world where we take care of each other…where we truly want to help each other grow and become the amazing individuals we just need to realize we are?
This is the world Michael is striving for, and Jasmin as well. How anyone could not see that saddens me, because these two have been responsible for so much goodness in my life that it is immeasurable.
When I had come back from Canada even, they helped my boyfriend and I go on a vacation we’ve been wanting to go on for months but hadn’t been able to manage. It was our first vacation together and we are oh so grateful for the wonderful memories we made. These two instances are only touching the tip of the cupcake as well - of all the amazing differences Michael and Jasmin have made in my life.
Given any doubts about either of these wonderfully kind people, I felt the need to step up and set the record straight.
Thank you both for being so instrumental in my life, truly.
I “strongly” recommend we schedule an urgent forum field trip to krispy kreme
I like the custard filled ones.
Peanut Butter filled donuts… you can get them in Erie,PA somewhere…
Mmm, those and the peanut butter ones sound good.
Amy-
I have read many of Michael’s posts. Read just one and you begin to get an idea of a person with a strong passion, great character and as for caring, you’ll also see he’s a genuine article. And that’s just from reading his thoughts online but your post really frames him even clearer as an outstanding person. I am glad to hear how happy you are at the company and how great of an experience you had on vacation. Just one question about your vacation at Hollyhock, were there doughnuts there? If so, what kind? Do they even have doughnuts in Canada?
Cliffs Notes: Michael=awesome, forum needs doughnuts.
Agreed! There were not doughnuts at Hollyhock, but there was enough amazing beautiful food there to thoroughly distract me. Something tells me they do have doughnuts in Canada…perhaps a surplus of maple bars?
Idle has a point about people, as I am a owner of a food franchise for 7 years. These past few months has been the hardest ever in 7 years.
I have an issue with a worker who injured himself and I let my workers comp slip for less than 30 days. I have payed him every week for wages and paying his med. bills. and he is still taking me to court. By law there is nothing more he can get from me. How can people think like this? Michael has said something about doing business in the US and give it a read!!
I still have 4 out of 13 workers I keep working for me since I opened and I keep those young kids till they go to collage. That is pretty good for a food place. Michael seems to be even way better and goes beyond what most anyone would do for his workers and everyone from what I am reading. Keep up the good work Michael!
Amy glad you enjoy your job and keep those Lovey Pheromones coming.
Ps Mix297 sounds fun!!! Hint Hint
I don’t know what it is ‘supposed’ to do, but I’ve nicknamed it ‘The Godfather’ mix.
Both times I’ve worn it have given me amazing respect and lots of attention.
