Mixing A314 w/ other cologne

I find the smell of A314 to be a little strong of musk on its own, so I’ve been experimenting layering colognes on top.

What I have found is that even one drop of A314 will smell strange with, say, “Cool Water” sprayed on it. Colognes with no musk in them do not work with the A314. A314 is too strong to be used along with a cologne that fights it.

However, one drop of A314 with one spray of an already musky cologne works really well. My signature scent is Bvlgari Black, which is a loud, complex musky scent to begin with. I found that adding a drop of the A314 enhanced the scent, while giving me the benefits of wearing the A314. (Note: I’ll increase the amount of A314 if I am going out; the one drop of A314/one spray of Black is for school/work).

Any input and other tips is appreciated. Guys, have you tried mixing A314 with cologne? What kinds of results have you gotten?

LS sells a custom version of A314 with a less “hippie” EO than the AD A314. It’s a weaker but more pleasant spicy scent. Nuttin’ to shout about but easier to cover than the friggen hippie-ass new age crystal stroker EO in AD A314. Plus it doesn’t irritate my skin like AD A314 (rash on neck, chest & forearms).

I wouldn’t recommend mixing A314 directly with cologne. Dosage would be difficult to control. Instead, cover the application area with a spray of cologne. Even lighter citrus blended colognes like Burberry Weekend and Issey Miyake cover LS A314 well.
