Mobocaster - Journal.

And now, a pretty blonde woman, 30s, glasses in with her elderly mother, stopped at the door, fixed me with a smiling/come-hither stare, then said a loud “Thank you - and goodbye” before shepherding her mother out the door!

Ihad another of those WTF-moments with A314 at work this week.

Since re-organising my job at the beginning of this year and working more closely with my bosses, I’ve been getting more involved in the senior management side of things, so having to provide some cover there.

Anyway three days ago, I was sitting at a borrowed desk in our main hub of activities when all the biggest bosses in the place walked-in and started their daily briefing - which I was fully included and participant-in. :open_mouth:

No notice, no advance warning or idea of what to prep. I was fully included and had to give the overall disposition for our services (and thank-fuck I actually knew them!) plus explain/defend how we were going to go-about resolving a couple of ongoing issues.

Next day the same and its up to me again on Monday at least - I think I, with my three drops of A314 have just been leapfrogged overr at least three people! :open_mouth:

An enjoyable quote just now, late 20s, slightly flushed, slightly breathy - She had her back to me, at equipment, just round a corner in a busy place:

“I just knew you were here - Even though i souldn’t see you I just knew it!” - That of course is the TUTH talking! 2 sprays 2x on the end of workday A314.

Most humorous quote award maybe? I still laugh every time I read it.

Another A314-inspired WTF moment today?

Just over a year ago, our head of catering bought himself a horrendously expensive, restored, “classic” Citroen van to use for trucking stuff around at outdoor events.

Naturally I congratulated him on his great idea of providing a distinctive visual focus/talking point for his part in the activities. I also suggsted (jokingly!) that his next step should be to get an old London Bus and convert it into a cafe, like you see at some festivals.

Well, yesterday I’d just finished with some lawyers in one building and he was at the coffee counter in there - “Mobo - Come with me, I’ve got something to show you”. So he led me round to where we had a big outdoor event going - Oh my…:"

We have now got a classic Routemaster converted to a rather nice little cafe.

Now all I have to do is convince him to ditch the LT-like paintjob and re-do it in purple tie-die and we have the perfect festival vehicle!

Love it! Now suggest that you should get a Jaguar for a company car!

Oh dear..!

This isn’t a post about where A314 got me, more its about where it didn’t.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve done quite a few events/conferences/meetings/visits that involved local and national politicians - Difficult beasts at the best of times and I’ve done OK around them.

So, about ten days ago, I got a rather vague invitation from one of them - to attend a meting and reception involving a “Senior Cabinet Minister” - I declined politely.

Well, yesterday came and the speech was given - Before a preselected audience of “local buisness leaders” by none other than the British Prine Minister himself, David Cameron!

BBC News - Cameron: Scottish Independence would be ‘painful divorce’

I don’t know if I should be proud that I presented the right sort of impression to be considered worthy of invitation, or flaming furious because he hardly represents me politically!

It seems like you are still having “PM” problems! Lol

I have a friend whose best friend was a guy that worked on the Bill Clinton campaigns, mainly on fundraising. My friend is a staunch Republican/Conservative. He got invited to the Clinton’s Christmas parties at the White House for several years in a row.

I asked him “why do you go there if you are not politically aligned with the Democrats?” He just laughed and said, “When the hell else am I going to be invited to the White House to go party with a president?”

Good point..at least he has some good pictures to show his grandkids

An invitation to Downing St, or even Holyrood would actually be a whole lot more attractive than a reception stuffed with self-serving local worthies at our glorified tin-shack of a conference centre!

I’ll work on it!

PM me something to see if it gets through - The short ones seem to arrive ok but longer ones have not been.

By “PM” I meant Prime Minister! Lol My double entendredness got you…

Yup - but whatever way Thursday’s vote goes, I don’t think he’s going to last that much longer!

Got the PM ok, so maybe things are sorted now.

Hey its not the end of the world…It worked out OK for Ireland

Yes, which is what makes the whole thing more of a farce for us now…!

But, Mobo, who is better suited to use pheromone OD to cause dominance wars and cock-fencing, resulting in last-minute discord and schisms in the opposing faction?

“I hae brocht ye to the ring, now see gif ye can dance!”

There is quite enough of that going-on already thank you! :open_mouth:

Besides, the opponents are doing surprisingly well at that without any help - They really don’t get Scots at all!

At least my invitation didn’t land me in it at work - Got a last minute event dropped-on me today. A Scottish Government reception for scientists - Which was only supposed to involve me for an hour but ended-up being more like three hours - and the woman in charge asked if I would do the next one on Friday for her.

Government Puffin Poo:

Very delicious!

The tail-end of my workday 3 drops A314 - applied around 7:30, eleven and a half hours ago.

2 sprays Heavy Ammo, and 25mcg P96.

Girl I was talking to on the way-in came past me on the way out and stood there talking to me amd laughing - face well-flushed, one hand on my arm, the other rubbing my shoulder - She’s 23! :open_mouth:

Meanwhile, as long as I’ve been here, the pretty young thing who is probably in the same age range in the seat in fornt of me (I’m on high seats at a counter) has been screwing herself around in her seat to get a better look at me and generally being more than a little fidgety!

Seems I have to give-up my Friday night this week - I’ve been asked to look after a rather important visitor - a senior specialist advisor to the European Union.

Oh and she’s also my idea of a rather attractive older woman. Now, what sort of mix should I use?

And this week continues in the high-status stakes - I’ve been asked to look after a Nobel Prize winner tomorrow afternoon/evening but in the morning, I’m warned to be ready for a “surprise” visit from the First Minister!

Just another of those “take it all in your stride” moments.

My boss took the FM to himself in the end.

So when it came to tonight’s visitor, it was 3 drops A314, 1 spray 4x IH, 22.5mcg P74 and uppon spotting the incredibly cute new rdhead PR at the event, I added one spray 2x TUTH in Akuto - Not that I think I have a chance with her, more I just like watching her flush when the None hits her - Its so obvious on natural readheads!

Anyway - Nobel Prizewinner was an absolute sweetheart, very chatty, friendly and engaging and we got his materials sorted out in no time. Then it was outside for a few press photos - despite threatening to rain all day, it turned into a lovely evening and as we went back-in, we spotted one of the first signs of winter - a huge flock of geese flying south. Something quite normal here but clearly of very great interest to a longterm California resident! So back inside, he starts showing me all these wildlife photos on his computer!

So great rapport and then he started, whilst I retreated to the booth with the Technicial to watch the discussion. Eventually, the chief PR lady came-in and stood behind us and chatted away - At some point it dawned on me - she can be a little bit touchy-feely but this time, she is giving me a light shoulder massage! :open_mouth:
