I got up the nerve to try MX292 today. My goal was to do some grocery shopping and note any reactions I see.
When I arrived in the parking lot, I applied two sprays, one on either side of my neck and then waited 5 minutes for them to dry.
Self-effects: I felt… relaxed? and slightly euphoric? I don’t know how to describe it. But, I kept cracking a small smile every few seconds. I also felt confident.
I was in the store for 30 minutes or so… picking up the usual… eggs, meat, bread, etc.. As I walked past people… I tried my best to find an excuse to look back to see if they make a double look back at me. Negative. Not once.
There were only two encounters that I might call a hit.
The first one was when I was standing near the meat contemplating what else I need to buy. This eldery couple walk from my left to my right about 2 meters away. The old man stops, looks at me, looks in my cart, walks towards me, puts his hand in my cart to point to my loaf of bread, and he asks “where can I find this honey wheat bread?”
This was very weird because NO one ever just comes right out and asks me where to find things in the store. The pheromones had me all high-like so I was enthusiastic about taking him to the spot where my bread was located.
Later on, I went to check-out. A store manager was kind enough to point me to a shorter line that would get me out of the store faster. He even blocked other costumers from getting in that line so that I’d be next. Weird. Probably not a hit but that was, again, unusual from my experience.
The second “hit” was the checkout lady. She wasn’t very chatty with the customer in front of me. However, when I was up next, she took it upon herself to explain to me how she bags groceries. Like, “I put these here because we don’t want to crush the bread” and “I put the eggs by themselves so we don’t break them.” WTF…? Ok?
Then… I leave the store and I park the cart next to my truck so I can put everything in there. I am in the very back of the parking lot. She comes running out of the store all the way to my truck and asks “do you have all your things??? did you forget anything?!? Maybe like… tissue paper?”
??? Ok? Again… I am thrown off. I don’t remember there being anything at her checkout counter when I left and I know I didn’t buy any tissue paper.
After I get everything home I decide to hit up a bookstore in a fancy-shamcy area of stuck-up high income people with no savings accounts. I walked around EVERYWHERE in that store… not one hit.
I try another bookstore. At this point I was getting tired and a bit irritiable. I had taken some Adderall earlier that day so this is probably my crashing point. Again, no hit.
Looking back, I think that the body language I was giving out after my grocery store visit was that of “leave me alone.” Again, I was on adderall and this tends me make me irritable after the first few hours.
In retrospect, I might have had better results if I made an attempt to talk to people. But, I was more interested in looking for IOIs than meeting people.
