And thats ok, I type 120 wpm so I tend to bombard the forums every time I log on.
It’s things like like this that I wish I had go into mones earlier so that I could compare and contrast some of the differences between the products that changed their scent. I will admit having only tested MX390 that is most certainly works. Now whether or not its better than MX297 I have no clue.
Don’t worry everybody experiences this.
If you had come when 297 was in its prime then you would have wished you joined even earlier to get your hands on some GAME scented mones.
Honestly, no matter what time you got here, you would have wished you had joined earlier. Each generation of users has its own “legendary” mix, the mix that made the ladies swoon at a mere whiff; the mix that made you the most powerful, respected man in the room, the building, the state; the mix that cured cancer. For some, it was Pheroproof (MX101), for others MX292 or Instant Female Magic. As humans, we are afraid of change, especially when it seems like we have something going for us. But this is a relatively new science, and progress is being made, and there are mixes that do a great job but are absurdly complex and expensive, mixes that could do the same job just as well but far more efficiently. Progress is being made, and the people doing these formulations aren’t stupid, by any means. Each mix adds to the pool of knowledge from which they can draw to create more efficient, elegant formulas. Androtics and other companies as well are going to continue to put out great mixes, and while there may be a quiet period with a few failures before the next masterpiece arrives, it will come. And if it doesn’t, if our resources and ability to progress have reached their limit–if what we’ve arrived at so far is all there is–then we know what works, and we can go back to it. But if we focus incessantly on the past, movement to that next great mix will be so much slower. If we had MX101 and MX292 and IFM and, and, and, then when would we ever opt to spray on the new untested, untried MX999? Why take the risk of missing an opportunity when you could have gotten the girl, gotten the promotion? I’ve been just as guilty of that, thinking “Well, I could test P95 today and provide valuable information to the forum, or I could spritz on 2x Instant Honesty + half a drop A314 + 2 x MX292 and be the fucking juggernaut.”
So, the table has to be cleared every once in a while, or the sheer option of mixes that work will distract us from what really matters and what will pay off more in the long run. Sex is a powerful force. Respect is a powerful force. Familiarity is a powerful force. Nostalgia is a powerful force. We are so afraid to lose what works at the moment that we won’t risk venturing away from the familiar even to find Paradise. But the farther we wander and the less we return to the familiar, the closer we will get to it. (And I say this, not implying that there is some final end, some perfect mix, but that if we become complacent, we don’t stand a chance. I also personally believe that the further we move in time from one of these legendary mixes, the more exaggerated claims of its power become. I’m sure MX101 was great, but I think what we have now probably actually trumps it. It’s just that nostalgia kicking in again, making us view the past in a brilliant, happy, but hazy light.
So, let’s move forward! I just ordered 12 putatives I’ve never even touched, because I want to know more. I want to mix like Tacitus or DancingJoker or Steve. I want observational skills keen as the nose of a bear. I ordered a split test pack because I’ll basically be spraying almost but not quite the same thing on every day and trying to see if it makes a difference. Those differences could be miniscule, the tiniest of variations on a common feel, but I am determined to catch them if they exist. I’m marching forward, and I hope you’ll all come along, but if you guys want to try bringing MHarris’s Safari Mix back, post a poll. I’ll be busy testing.
Maybe it’s that difference. If akuto is more aura like diffusion, staying in one spot with people around you would definitely have more impact as the mones get carried by the scent.
If ff21 works better as a trail as opposed to an aura, then it would be more effective moving around if you were actively moving around more right?
I do plan on getting akuto scented ammo next week. I’m curious to see how well that works compared to the ff21 scent.
