It seems like a lot of people have changed their opinions of this mix people used to act like it was the holy grail but now people are going as far to say it’s beta.
Do you all still think it’s a good mix?
Well for one you have to consider confirmation bias here when people read reports of others and soon a number of them start to all go…ahhh!!! yeah that’s what I got too, forgetting their own hits.
I myself reported that it didn’t seem as sexual as other mixes, however it is an amazing attraction product and as Tisha points out time and time again in her posts regarding a product like TUTH. That just because you cause an “itch” for a girl, doesn’t mean you get to scratch it. You need something that attracts her to you and links that sexual desire to you.
MX297 works wonders at creating attraction, and maybe because some people here have trouble closing they labeled it beta, or non-sexual.
I love 297/390 and while its not the Holy Grail, I will always ensure that its in my stash at all times.
I suggest you pick some up and test it and see what results you get. Then pair it with some other products like IG and then TUTH.
With IG I was like the most charismatic guy around and could talk anyone into anything. Now if I used those same persuasion skills and mix to talk a girl out of her panties, I sure as hell think it wouldn’t be that difficult.
Do you think if I used two sprays MX297 and 1 spray IJ it would work well? I want to test it out.
Best thing to do is to test it out and see what happens. Otherwise by giving too much advice on a potential mix, you can give yourself preconceptions which might make you miss the true hits.
@TG: Have you ever noticed if 297 reduces the alpha vibe of a314 in any way?
Sorry to butt in but adding that on top of A314 works well IMO. I used to sub it for A314 but I got better results with it when paired.
Hmm, I’ve only used that combo once so far and was surprised to get nothing from this one waitress last night when she was pleasant to everyone else. Of course there could have been other factors. Lately the hits aren’t coming quite like the normally are but I’m also attributing that to crappy weather + crappy attitudes from people.
I’m definitely in a hurry for summer to be here. More opportunities to test

I really hate to say this but ever since SteveO stated his own personal opinions about MX297 there has been 180 degree turn in reviews. Now let me say this, if you used Mx297 and genuinely noticed no hits I humbly respect your opinions and accept that we are all different. However when I hear things like “you can’t close with it” it irks me. I know SteveO is a well respected member on here but the man is a reporter like us. His views are ALWAYS going to be held in high regard but that doesn’t mean they’re the gospel (which he has stated before). Just because ONE person says that this mix is too beta doesn’t make it universal. He’s just commenting on how the mix works FOR HIM. Personally, I saw only a few hits from MX297 but a few weeks ago it really came through. But that’s my personal experience.
Now, as to the question over whether on not you can close with MX297 I’d say that like any phero it depends on the user and their environment. Each phero mix can have an infinite number of results depending on the user and their environment. My holy grail might be your holy pile of crap. There’s lots of variables to consider.
Now that I’ve ranted I suggest buying some MX297 and try not to think about what everyone has told you about it and test it yourself. Go get um boys and happy testing!

I’ve tried both mixes, but Akuto seems to hit harder. I still believe that Akuto in anything will garner that kind of attraction, the scent itself for nighttime wear is unbelievable.
The FF21 version doesn’t grab people around you as the MX390 does. However about the closing, I do agree with Steve on that one. I have a report in the A314 forum but instead of using MX297 I was using A314 with the same variables of putatives in the mix. The two times I did that summer, in conjunction with A314 + MX301 and A314 + IH + P83 all worked wonders.
I think it’s also that people regarded MX297 as a great mix and a lot, like myself back then, looked too much for hits, and essentially had blocked themselves from progressing because of the lack of congruence. When I had it for work, it seemed to work wonders for the respect aspect of MX297 and some of my female co workers were always complimenting me. However, I didn’t get that kind of reaction with MX390, but interestingly enough, MX347 provided similar results.
The way that Akuto diffuses the molecules can make or break the intended effects, I think the scent alone can give an attractive manly feeling about a mix that it’s used in. The same way Neroli can be comforting, Akuto can be mysterious and attractive.
Also, don’t forget that not ALL people react the same to products. For example, Some guys that normally respect me showed me less respect. Some guys thought I was really cool and showed me much respect. Moreover, some guys thought I was a life of party. Some girls were all over me, while others thought I might be a push-over.
In short, the mileage varies among users and their subjects.

Had the EXACT same thing happen to me. In fact, I’d say it happened for 75% of my tests for MX297. This usually happens with popular products. We forget that we still have to play that 90% role. I think it’s been said before that MX297 is the more social counterpart of A314. Not necessarily less beta, but a different kind of Alpha. I mean there are different kinds of Alpha males in the world. You’ve got the stereotypical mucsle bound alphas, the business world suit and tie Alphas, and you have the social fun loving party Alphas which is where MX297 leans more towards IMO.
I do agree that Akuto scent is much more noticeable and I’ve also gotten compliments on the scent. It seems to stick around for a LOOOONG time compared to neroli (pretty indifferent towards it). I remember someone on here saying that the Akuto scent produces a diffusion effect similar to an aura rather than a trail. Don’t quote me on that though because I could be wrong.:o
I know my girlfriend tells me akuto smells like “man” and says it with a huge grin on her face. The first time I wore something scented with akuto she stopped about 3 - 4 feet away from me and asked what I was wearing and said she could smell it on me in all directions 3 - 4 feet away. Sounds like an aura to me…
