My nose is blocked up like the Holland Tunnel at rush hour, So now what?

If someone has a stuffy nose, will the pheromones still attach to the receptors in the nose?

If a person has tape over their nose, or something else actually blocking air flow (100%) to/through the nose, then backwash from breathing through their mouth will still get into their nose, but through their throat, instead.

This will reduce and delay the effectiveness of pheromones (assuming that ALL human pheromone receptors are inside our noses).

Mmm, nasal backwash…

Better than some backwashes I can think of though.

oh, This post made me hungry

Hi

There is no such thing as a dumb question. In fact yours was a very good question. I hope some one knows the answer.

Knowledge begins with a question…

Funny thing is…even with my nose stuffed up(hot one day..frigid the next..)(dammin weather)..if I was inhaling through the mouth I could literally still pick up on the signature I was putting off. You have to remember inside your skull most of the nasal passages are somehow connected . You can go up your nose and come out your mouth or go down your throat. The chances of it reaching those receptors is slim..but still possible. The sense of smell is not really totally understood so for me to say that it is the case with everyone I would be wrong. However to say there is not a chance would be cause for me to put my foot in my mouth

Sorry to dredge up a very old thread but today my nose is blocked, very blocked. I can’t smell anything. I am wearing 2 drops of A314 and effects on others are evident.
I’m definately have reduced self effects, if any.

It did get me thinking, my missus appears to be virtually imune to mones, but generally has trouble with her nose, always blocked / blowing. If we go for a nice meal or scuba diving she has to take sudafed or similar.

Where do pheromones get recieved & processed in our bodies, inside the nose?

Yes inside the olfactory system which begins in the nose.

Congestion, nasal inflammation (caused by pollutants like smoking), damaged sinuses can all have affect on how well your mones work. The molecules need to make it to the brain and if something is stopping that process the connection is never made.

Tisha

2 drops of honey (rev 23) & 3 sprays of lemon x2, all in hot water with some paracetamol (75mg) seems to be gradually resolving the situation.

Darn, those are some high tech bees…
