Nose vs mouth

Something has been bothering me for awhile, if the girl I’m trying to pick up has a cold and her nose is blocked, would it be useless for me to apply pheromones? And along the same lines, if I douse myself with Instant Female Magic and breathe using my mouth at all times, would that get rid of the male depression?

I suspect the effects of pheromones will be greatly reduced. Although, she will get a niff of your pheromones every now and then, immediately after she blows and clears her nose. It’s probably not the best time to use pheromones.

If you breathe through your mouth at all times, chances are you are not going to be affected by Instant Female Magic. You will, however, get very dry and cracked lips

By the way, is anyone getting a mental image of a gold fish yet?! A nice rounded goldfish mouth and bubbles. Bubbub bubbub!

For the depression, try spraying it on the back of your neck.

Agreed, and im not so sure that a blocked nose/cold is enough to stop pheromones. Even with a very bad cold I can often still smell basic scents, and since the VMO is closer to the opening nose than the olfactory cells that usually detect scent, its very possibly still possible. So keep trying… I find that even if girls have a poor sense of smell, its still possibly to use pheromones. There are perhaps a minority that cant detect or respond to ANY pheros at all, but thats probably less than 1 or 2% of the female population…

If a scent is strong, I can actually taste it on both my tongue and the back of my throat (e.g., perfume lady). And a common method of intercepting pheromone information is by exchanging bodily fluids such as saliva and semen. A kiss is always so much more than just a kiss…

There is still a bit of debate about if the human VNO is really active or not, so reaching it may or may not be an issue. I get the impression that more and more researchers are thinking that the pheromone receptors are farther in so to speak.

I also know that when I have a good nasty cold my sinuses are often so completely blocked I have to mouth breathe (I already seem to have nasal passage blockage 24/7 from “something” that I really need to get checked out one of these days…). I smell nothing. Period. But as Gegogi points out I can sometimes detect “odors” (or at least the chemicals in the air - possible perfume carriers) by the effect it has on my tongue and/or mouth. Whether what is affecting my mouth is “affecting” me (say in the sense of pheromones) is unknown to me. Other than just “tasting icky.”
