A fierce, yes it’s very popular is why. Smells good, but popular.
Yeah, troubling isn’t it? Regarding the newbie recommendations by another n00b. Sigh.

That was pretty much my reaction. ![]()
There seems to be a lot of that going on right now.
I agree, don’t worry guys. I’m not sure what’s going on with the board, but instead of being turned away from it because of newer users with not much knowledge somewhat taking over I think that we should actually reinforce our presence even though the want may not be as strong with us as it was before when the board was more active with more serious research posts. In other words, I think that we should take some kind of stance and protect this board from going down the drain with posts asking the same question we seem to keep on answering.
Of course the basic innocent n00b questions are OK and common place, but you know which posts I’m talking about. Like I said, I know that it’s such a turn off and it keeps us from wanting to post because of our posts possibly falling onto blind eyes and being ignored but something has to be done. So I figure that we should reinforce our posts, presence with the knowledge we know, and kind of try to keep the board from spiraling down even more.
What really gets old is recommening the same products over and over for young teens. Most seem to want TUTH like it will some magic potion that will cause female’s clothes to dissolve right off their bodies…they are impatient and too lazy to use the search engine. My 2 cents worth.
Sadly, you’re right reddog.
I agree 100%. The search button is a great way to find what you are looking for without clogging up the forum with questions that could have easily been answered.
I remember I made a thread about the importance of the search button and how it could really make life easier for all the newcomers. Then I got neg repped by some guy saying “duh”. Guess this site is being overrun by trolls.![]()
If I may put my 2 cents in, the site is buying its traffic from what I’ve read and hence the noobs must be apart of some master plan. Maybe instead of worrying about the board being over run by noobs, ask what does it take from more dedicated users to inspire the noobs to be more dedicated.
But you must admit, yes recommending the same instant line products gets old but thats what noobs are allowed to buy. Also there first intents in coming to the board are most likely simple due to the lack of knowing pheromone possibilities.
If anything, a new user may never come to the realization that their is a way for them to help on the board or be rewarded for research efforts, as its hard to see the big picture. Welcoming new users is the only thing thats obvious to help out…
Listen to and read all of the stickies that seem to get ignored, listen to advice given and not let it get ignored even when told on what they should try/do, not asking the same question when (as mentioned) has already been answered, and did I mention read the stickies? I’m not saying that all n00bs are this way, but there is plenty that seem hard headed and don’t seem to try advice already given to them.
I’ve been there and done that, only some do tend to listen when in the intro section but sadly they seem to fall into the same mold. Also it’s not fun when new users are given pheromone information from a n00b just as new as the one posting in the intro section as jesse mentioned! They’ll just be fed bad advice, and/or not fully understand any of it since the one who gave them the info is/was just as new.
As far as rewards go for research efforts, there is. It’s called “reporting status.” And that’s what Steve is currently doing at the moment (looking for users who deserve reporting status.)
Yeah I know and see all this, but to elaborate on my point a little further. A new user can get lost easily or overwhelmed, especially if stats show that most Internet browsers spend only short periods of time per site when looking into a topic. To this end I do think the welcoming users section does a good job of getting those people to stop and take a look, and try things.
But when I was saying inspiring new users to become more dedicated, they probably don’t know how to contribute constructively. The stickies and search function are very useful to an experienced Internet user that has time to read, but the typical user is only looking for quick answers which you pointed out.
If anything, consolidating the stickies may help alot… perhaps into one large FAQ with quick shortcuts to answers on the body of the FAQ. And I know its been mentioned before, but having an advanced section seperate from the noobs, but thats really an admins call ![]()
On a side note, there are alot of dedicated users on the site I’ve had the privileged to read your reports. But at the same time, alot of new users can be abit shy.. and even myself can find it hard to fit in even though I’m not shy.. I try my best ![]()
I hope that It does not concern me? :o
You do, I’ve seen you participate and I think you’re on the right track. No need to be shy, we’re all here to help each other out.

daset1, this is the very reason I said the above statement. The fact of the matter is, the experienced users dont get a chance to inspire them. They are to busy getting misinformation by people, in reality, that dont have enough experience to recommend products. Because of this, they get the wrong product for what they need, get frustrated, and never come back. The guy I saw that had been here for 5 days, how much can that guy really know? Chances are good he hasnt even received his first package of phero’s yet. And if he had, how much testing could he have posibly done on the products he is recommending?
This is why in 75% of my posts in the intro section contain the phrase: “take a look at the stickys at the top of each forum. There is alot of good info in there.” Most FAQ’s are answered there. And as far as them finding out how they can be rewarded, reporter status is also covered in the stickys, and they obviously found out they get rewarded for intro’s.
I do worry about it. Because the main forum is cluttered with FAQ questions, that leaves only the journals as a place to discuss the R&D aspect of phero use. Which some of us still care about. New forum members very rarely get to see an actual molecule reported on because it is buried under 20 “can I wear my own cologne with phero’s”(answered in stickys)type posts. When alot of us first came here, the main board was 80% reports. And when a new guy asked a FAQ, the most common answer was “this has been answered, use the SEARCH function.”
And daset1, please dont take this as a personal attack on you. I am just explaining how I feel in regard to your statements. Always feel free to express you true opinions in this journal. You have been one of the few that has stuck around a bit, and seem to be on the right track as a reporter.
No it was not you.
You have been here a few months now. The guy I saw literally had been a member for only 5 days.
Hey jessejester, thats well put, I agree. I think eveything said here is very valid.
The problem is that the membership period not exactly realize that if he have a lot of experiences about pheromones…
Look, im not going to specificly call the dude out. He recommended AMMO and TUTH to a new member in the intro section. 5 days earlier he did his own intro admitting he had not used those exact products before, and was pretty new to pheros. That does not seem like someone with much experience to me.
I knew it was pretty mainstream, but I didnt realize exactly how popular it was. To get it recognized 3 strait day was baffling.
My reasoning for getting it was for its diffusion. It has definetly worked in that department. Fierce is kind of like a stand in until I find a new signature cologne. I have been testing samples for months now. I only have a few more to try. Lacoste Essential, and Polo Blue have been my favorites so far. Its tough to find a soapy scent with good diffusion.
On another note. I have worn Cool Water Game consistantly over the past month. After initial spray, it smells close to the AD Game scent. But, after dry down, it really smells nothing like it. It smells much like CK Euphoria after dry down. CW Game, CK Euphoria, and A&F Proof seem to have the same dominant sweet top note.
I agree jesse, I don’t own it but a co-worker at my old job would wear it to work and it would smell from the beginning of our shift all the way to the end of our shift. To be fair, it does smell nice too of course which is the reason why it is apparently very popular.
Yes, that makes sense.
