This is interesting, as I have said before I feel introverted but people crack up when I say that to the point I wonder if I’m fooling myself. But I think my extroversion is learned and defensive, not natural and expressive. And being introverted doesn’t necessarily mean being shy or frightened. I hope it doesn’t mean too self-absorbed, either, lol.
It really strikes me how they describe the childhood experience (yes I had an imaginary friend or so they say, just because no one else could see him doesn’t make him imaginary, does it? Now I can’t see him either and I wish I had him back!) living in a fantasy world and getting made fun of (get your head out of the clouds, stop reading those books, go outside and play) etc. To this day I resent the way the “real” world intrudes on and interrupts my inner fantasy world, lol - but then again, it can get lonely in here after a while.
Back to pheros - I wonder if we perceive the greatest SELF-effects with pheros that “shift” our dominant expression - which would explain why I “notice” so much difference with the Instant Openness, TAA, other things that encourage and invite shiny extroversion. Could be why I always feel a need to back off that kind of stuff after a bit too - I enjoy it but it makes me feel tired and depleted in excess, like flexing underused muscles. That’s the stuff I feel like I OD on and need a break from after a while, although it is great good fun to explore. I must want to go there because I have always seemed to choose jobs and friends that FORCE extroversion. It’s all about seeking balance, I guess.
