INTP - “Architect”. Greatest precision in thought and language. Can readily discern contradictions and inconsistencies. The world exists primarily to be understood. 3.3% of total population.
So apparently I’m still INTP…
I’m starting to experiment with mones so we’ll see where this journey will take me!
The issue with Meyer Briggs is you can take the same test multiple times and have a different outcome. At least half of those who will rewrite will get different results. It wasn’t designed by psychologists; it can gauge only your preference not ability.
It’s not used anywhere in clinical psychology and is about as useful as your zodiac. People do not clump into either Introversion or Extraversion seen as two separate curves; rather a single bell curve with extreme introverts on one end and extraverts on the other. Most are somewhere in the middle and even Jung himself said "“There is no such thing as a pure extravert or a pure introvert. Such a man would be in the lunatic asylum.”
And MBTI doesn’t claim there to be pure introverts or extroverts… not trying to be mean but you clearly don’t know the theory very well
The reason why online tests get different and often wrong results is that it was never the intended way of assessing which type you are (most of the online quizzes are not official MBTI)
Each type has 4 main functions, its important to note these are preferences and you in fact use everything
For example as an INTP that does not mean “void of all feelings”
My function order is Ti, Ne, Si, Fe meaning the feeling function is in last place and is extroverted
Hence my feelings come across, innocent, child-like and playful and are generally seen far less often, that said they still come out in an extroverted manner
This is why INTPs tend to have more cheerful/less serious facial expressions than say that of an INTJ
Both are primarily thinking type personalities but one is extroverted feeling and one is introverted feeling
I know Jungian psychology well enough to know where Katherine Briggs & Isabell Briggs Meyers drew all of their inspiration from and where they developed the MBTI. I know the theory well enough to know it’s true origins. Do you? Please be mean all you like, mean people on the internet are serious business.
My point stands firm regardless if you take it online or write or it in an “official” MBTI in someone’s office. Repeat the same test and you can get different results. A real psychologist worth their credentials will never give you one to write anyway.
Jung had four types, they only turned them into dichotomies yielding sixteen possible combinations.
That tells me nothing other than how you’ve chosen to define yourself on the premise of an extremely faulty quiz. It can only tell you your preference, not your ability. Who needs to know their true competency when they can have their comfort zone and be content instead? It’s unscientific, and much like horoscopes just has a set of statements that are only positive. Which tells you exactly what you want to hear and make you feel special.
