The sad thing is that if he was a Muslim or Arab man they would have offered him more protection and rights then the afforded him. On a side note I don’t believe in affording more or less rights to anyone based on religion or ethnicity. Treat them all the same, but for fucks sake if people are killing others because of where they are from or their religion then take every step to ensure the rest of us are safe.
Then again this guy didn’t do what he was “ordered” to do in a situation that could have been dangerous to everyone.
I don’t know I think we are all damned. If he was a terrorist and they let him get away with this and then he killed I bet I can hear the cries of justice. So either ay the cops are wrong regardless. This world is in a world of shit and the only way I can see a way out is not looking like an option. The guy broke the law and is going to jail, while the rapist who raped and tortured a 14 year old for three days is set free to make room for this guy. It’s lose lose.
Border agents have it tough enough without some idiot making more issues. IMHO this guy is now guilty of letting some rapist out because he wanted to not follow the directions of a guy who has a gun.
I totally understand and agree that some stuff sucks, but there has to be another answer than setting yourself on fire. When I meet the Dali Lama I’m going to teach him about violence and how to kick ass.
I had already felt that there is a police state, bush did a good job of that. Not any better yet I guess…
