For myself, well I definitely used to be pretty shy around the ladies. I grew more comfortable in my 20’s, I don’t mind being bold and confident with women. I feel like a say the right things, just don’t get the response all the time that I would like. I fancy myself as a scientist of sorts, I observe, try new things, look at the results and try different things, and that’s with many areas of my life not just in social situations and women.
So I say all that to say this, in some cases I feel like I come on too strong, I’m a big guy, so naturally that can be intimidating. While other times I don’t feel like I get the respect I deserve from the female jerks like I deserve either, as if they sense that I’m truly a nice guy and not the jerk that they prefer.
I have had some confidence boosting experiences with women, and I know women love confident, so unless I’m in an environment where I have an established reputation and understanding of who I am (such as bar and club situations), its fake 'til I make with my confidence which is hard to sell sometimes.
Here’s an example of what I’ve experienced, about a year ago I was in a huka bar/club with some friends. I’m always on “get the ladies to the table” detail, because I’m pretty good at getting foxy ladies to talk too. I find a tall hot blonde in the crowd dancing and I invite her and her friend to sit with us and enjoy some huka. They agree and we sit and talk for a while, get up and dance quite a bit. I think a healthy balance is using shine with all your products so you get the effect but a healthy balance and toning down.
