Noob Mistakes - Gettin' into da mix!

I have read so many posts and filled my head with so many ideas of all the wonderful hits from the experienced users that I got excited and tried to mix my products right off the bat. This was a big mistake and now I am left with almost no pheros left and really no hits to show for it after only owning this stuff for under 2 weeks. I was warned several times all throughout the forum with quotes like this:

Yet I continued to try to replicate other EXPERIENCED users formulas and did not receive any real results.

I now have my own bottle of A314 mutant and have used it at work the past couple of days. I have still not seen any real results…why? Because I have still been trying to throw a little openness here and some Instant Female Magic there and some Ammo around here over the top of my A314 WITHOUT knowing what MY, did you hear me Noobs?, MY correct dosage is for each product.

As a direct result of my enthusiasm to see such wonderful SteveO-MarkInDallas-Phoenix-Tisha-Pheroquirk-Catlord-Gegogi-Tater ish hits, I am now left with almost no product, a dent in my bank account, and a very frustrated disposition. This sucks!

BUT, I have a new plan. Starting fresh. Doing a complete phero washdown tonight and going to work tomorrow simply with my new cherished A314 mutant, an alpha attitude, a positive outlook, and a willingness to observe and report a fair analysis for this forum and for Androtics. I say all of this because I want to help YOU. The new user. Yes, YOU. Sittin’ there with your new Instant Openness, Ammunition, Instant Shine, Instant Female Magic, and Turn up the heat. Just dyin’ to mix up the perfect batch to go clubbin’ with on Friday night. STOP! Test them separately. Try to stick with one product at least for a week. Also, please learn from my mistakes. Here is my list that I will update occasionally:

  1. Leave the to-go bottles at home until you know what the hell you are doing! New users first order from Androtics of to-go bottles should be labeled “leave-in-the-cabinet”, not To Go.

  2. Do not drink an excessive amount of alcohol and carry your to-go bottles with you to the club. Too many drinks = too many un-noticed hits from females. Not noticing hits from females = an overdose on Ammo and an empty bottle of shine.

  3. Test your products separately until you know your sweetspot (correct amount to apply) Otherwise, you will have a seriously screwed up phero-mess of a mixed signature going on, a guilty feeling for spending your rent money, and no hits to show for it.

  4. Read the stickies, but do not read them for all the great hits you want. Look for basic info on what to order, where to start, how to apply, how to test properly, etc.

  5. Do not sit and read Taters journal 20 times looking for new and amazing mixes to get that wonderfully tan athletic beautiful curly headed awesome bubbly personality havin’ blonde at the gym to walk up to you and ask you for a date. Tater is an absolute testing maniac. He has treaded more phero-ground in 2 weeks than you will in 4 months. His posts have some of the most amazing hits on the widest range of ages and ethnicities that you will ever see! He has come up with some groundbreaking and unusual mixes that have become the staple mix for many. Read his journal and enjoy. YOU ARE NOT HIM. Did you hear me? Really? No, seriously…YOU ARE NOT HIM. Start slow okay?

  6. Call SteveO for help. He’s awesome! Don’t PM him 17 times asking where your magical “Instant Lay” to-go bottle is.

  7. There will always be another mistake in your own phero-usage or application that you can learn from. Be brave. Make mistakes. Just don’t be stupid.

  8. Do not order & test a product based solely on the assumption of the specific hits you have read about in this forum. Like I like blondes so I want my MX203.

  9. Do not use a strong scented phero mix when you already have an upset stomach. This will cause some bad joo joo!

  10. This list will never end.

Attention Androtics! SteveO, Jasmin, MHarris, etc : I sincerely apologize for not using my products in the correct manner in order to achieve the most accurate results possible for you. That changes today. Yes, you made money off of me anyway. No, I don’t think that is what you are all about. Thank you guys! I would like to mention also that each MX in the advanced section is for testing purposes. You may not get the same results as the next guy in the forum.

This is why they call them Test mixes :wink:

This really is vital. I know its hard everyone wants to mix mix mix. Yep mixing is fun but you need to know first what that product does for you to make a mix that will be effective for you. I was told along time ago by Jas when I first started out this takes at the very least a week to do. I find that the hits I get on day one of testing something change over the period of a week. Its only when you consistantly get the same reaction again and again that you know “this is what this product does for me”

Another good point. A MX is still in testing. The results that one person see’s may not be the results of another person. You need to read the board and look for consistancy from a product from a number of different people. Good example is P83. Look around the board. You will see the hits with this one are consistant and of the same nature by almost everyone who uses it. People loss inhibitions, they display more, touch more, On the flip side when the girls tested it they reported feeling seductive which when you think about it makes sense with the reactions the men are getting from it. Dont look at one post that says “I got this result from this mix” and base your purchase solely on that.

I got to say the blonde assumption really makes me laugh because for one pheromones dont work that way. 70% of the women you meet are not naturally blond. I actually got a PM saying something is wrong with my 203 because I am not getting hits from blonde’s. When I asked if they got any hits at all the anwser was yes but not from blonde’s. Nothing is wrong with MX203 your expectations of it just arent correct. Dont be afraid to post contrary results.

Hey Patratt, nice post and good reminder. Don’t be too down on yourself about it.

About that bank account dent…just wait. I highly advise budget earmarks. LOL. Thanks for plugging my thread. Genesis has a good post along these same lines as well. Maybe between us we can save some new guys and gals a little money, I doubt it though, I didn’t listen to anybody either. :slight_smile:

Then before you knew it, you had 30 sprays of Instant WTF on, without having any clue on what to really expect. You’re brain was trying to climb out of your head and run away, cause it didn’t know what the hell was going on, and you had to sneak up on doors to open them. :open_mouth:

Don’t feel bad. Consider it a rite of passage innto the magical phero world. Start over, one product at a time, increase dosage one spray at a time, untill you find your sweet spot, then do the same thing with the next product. Wash, rinse and reapeat, untill you’ve gone through all your products and know what they do and how they work on you. The the real fun begins. :smiley:

Good post! Its important to be disciplined in your testing.

BTW, Taters experiments with MX203 showed a TREND toward blondes initially (and Tater knows a real blonde from a fake one). Trend does not mean fact. After a while, we noticed that the trend was more pale-skinned Caucasians than blondes.

You will always see different results because you have a different personal chemistry, different application practices, different bathing practices and many other things.

Finally, theres been an upswing in people spraying 4-5 different pheros on during their first week, then complaining about no responses, especially going WAY too heavy on MX103 or Ammo, or even P83. Guys, you need to get the research down. More is NOT always a good idea. Youre just wasting money…

I thought the whole point of naming mixes was so that they will be consistent across all users and if any changes were made to an existing MX (even a cover scent change) they will be assigned a new MX. Tisha, can you confirm this? Thanks!

Aight, i’m on my 2nd day of using pheros, and yes i couldn’t stick to starting with 1 and learn it. Really too excited. Altho i even knew that it was very important to learn each one before mixing. Can’t help it i’m a noob. Altho now my excitement has been fed and from monday i’ll start testing. Think i’ll start with my Instant Female Magic and then proceed unto Instant Shine and then forth as they are the ones i like the most so far :slight_smile:

Anyways my point is, it really takes some guts to stick to a testing plan from day one. So get the phero-spray-o-mania done asap and get testing to truly enjoy the benefits of this wonder “air freshener”

Great post. I’m new, and I haven’t ordered yet (moving to my workaday home next week after holidays, so I want the things delivered there as early as possible but not too early :slight_smile:). I promise I will try to resist the temptation to mix like mad. Actually, the idea that it’ll take a week to test each bottle makes me realise that there’s no real need to order such a wide variety at once :slight_smile: (except maybe to make the intl postage worth it).

I will, however read like mad.

Also, I have some crazy busy weeks planned in the next month, which means that pheromones won’t be the only thing on my mind. Means I can probably trick myself into patiently testing them one by one.

I believe they only give it a new name when they add or subtract a certain pheromone but I am not sure.
Its what I was told when my last 2 bottles of MX135 was slightly different then the origonal. But I will ask again when I call :wink:

UPDATE Ok spoke to Jas she said if the pheromones change in any way they will give it a new mix number. The difference in smell in my new MX135 is from the type of carrier they use. Thanks NB for pointing that out. Reps to you :wink:

When Tater started on pheros, he picked the one phero he really wanted to work, Instant Female Magic, and worked it until the bottle was empty. True, it was only a togo vial, but if he had a bottle, he wouldve tested even longer.

Theres a basic point of logic that says you cant solve for x + y = 5 if you don’t know x, and don’t know y. IH + IS = hit doesn’t tell you whether IH caused the hit, or IS caused the hit, or something in between. Also, consider what happens if x = 8 and y = -3. y (IS) may have HURT instead of helped.

The other thing is Tater only used the information here as guidance. First off, I didnt believe the stuff worked until I had played with it for a while and convinced myself. Secondly, and I hope I don’t get into trouble again for saying this, some posts are not reliable. Not everybody is careful about what they’re testing. Not everybody knows what they’re doing or sits back and thinks about what they see. I don’t think anybody is lying, just that some information isn’t worth as much as other information. Sometimes people have incorrect theories (INCLUDING TATER). And dont forget that not everything works for everyone, or works on every target.

What am I saying? I think everybody needs to remember that this is research. Even with the Smartmones products like A314 and Instant Openness, there are so many factors that its not a “product” like a cell phone, where 99.99% of people can get the desired response out of it, and it may be something as simple as a reaction with your aftershave.

Take the time. Do the research. Even if you get lucky with one combination, youre not doing yourself any favors.

When I first came here, I took offense at the separation between newbies and experienced phero users. Tater considers himself a newbie compared to the old-timers who have been here for YEARS, not just Taters measly 7 months. Still, I understand why a 1 year experience requirement may be imposed, even though I would be locked out too. Ya gotta LEARN THE CRAFT. Nobody can really do it for you. Ya gotta LEARN THE CRAFT YOURSELF. Even if someone mixed the perfect pheros for you, you wouldnt know what to look for and how to take advantage of it. Ya gotta LEARN THE CRAFT!

Oh, and another thing to watch for if youre a newbie. Lots of people here are using products from other companies. If you dont know the quality of those products, or whether they have any kind of controlled batching system like Androtics does, even the PERFECT mix may not work correctly. The only non-Androtics phero Tater uses is Athena 10x. Thats because Ive spent $100 on it and I really do think it works.

But lets say youre buying stuff from LS which, best I can tell, gets its stuff from a number of different companies, all with different quality control systems and procedures. The stuff you order tomorrow may not be the same as the stuff your friend ordered yesterday. Results mean NOTHING unless you can repeat them.

Sorry for fussing. Please dont treat Tater like Obama at a Georgia Klan meeting.

No - those of us who have been around awhile and post these great mixes we have come up with - that we have worked on and work great for our personal chemistry and not maybe for the next person … have maybe been a little remiss in not preaching the old mantra -

Start with one product. Use one spray. Observe. Repeat for a few days. Go up to two sprays. Repeat until you see what the prduct does for you at a given dose. After you have done this with your products, THEN think about mixing.

I remember back over a year ago you would see this advice given to EVERY new user straight up. Maybe it is that we have so many new users, maybe its because we know it is in the “Stickys” and we assume the new users are going to read and memorize them all or something else. But we who have been here awhile need to make sure we pass this advice on more often. 'Cause we know a lot of the new users are going to be really excited about using the products and trying to use the great mixes they see here and we know where that often leads.

The other side is of course that the new users need to follow the advice but hey, you can lead a camel to water … Patratt seems like he heard the advice but did not follow it. Well, I probably starting mixing things before i should have also.

The other half of the equation is that you have to be observant and socially astute enough to sort out what is happening around you both when you wear the products and when you don’t. And also to know the difference between what could be happening on its own and what the pheros may be influencing. A lot of our users basically admit they need some work on those very social skills so it will be even harder for them to guage results. Even an OF like me misses some pretty serious stuff sometimes.

So where this now rambling post is going - I am not sure and that is bad becuase i am writing it -lol. Anyways - NEW USERS - remember the initial testing advice in paragraph 2 of this post and remember to consider all the variables. OLD TIMERS - lets be sure to constantly remind the new guys about the importance of proper field testing to see A. the products really do work and B. get a real feel for what they do for each user.

Another thing for all the new users who are so eager to try their own mixes. Im STILL impressed by how versatile straight IH is. Its still the phero I would choose if i could only have one. Heavy IH all the way.

Flamingo, I do know that if you wanna get all excited and “mix” right off the bat you can safely do the ol’ Ammo and Instant Shine mix. You will however have to keep track and try to find your sweetspot for TWO products as opposed to one. I would say though that this is a good place to start. Just be careful with the Ammo. It has Androstenone.

I would guess that the reason most of the first time shoppers go for more products is because of reading all the great results of the diverse consumer products and then to push the price past $50 in order to get free shipping.

See New User? Tater has been at this for 7 months. He still considers himself a noob and changes his opinion on these pheros all the time after testing. These above two quotes from Tate might seem to contradict themselves, but to me it is a learning tool that only further proves you gotta taylor this stuff to your own particular desires and body chemistry. Somebody else’s mix might work great for them, but you gotts to FIND YOUR OWN.

Yeah. Tater changes his opinion from time to time too. IFM blew me away at first. IH, especially heavy IH is even better.
