Cool… I will post my dream journal technique as a separate topic later on. The whole point of the exercise is to eventually lead to lucid dreaming, and to get control of your dreams and understand their meaning a bit clearer.
A dream is the way the quantum computer of your brain attempts to communicate with you. It speaks in symbols, metaphors, and images, because it simply doesn’t do it in plain English.
Israel Regardie, of The Golden Dawn fame, used to espouse the benefits of a firm understanding of psychology and even recommended therapy. Magic, psychology, mysticism, whatever you aim to call it, functions in a clear and repeatable way.
You and I, the person reading this text right now, is simply a biological process moving forward in time. You cannot define yourself by what you were when you started reading this post, or who you will be when you are done. Your attention span and focus are incredibly limited. You only have so much bandwidth to your thoughts. You can only juggle so much in your mind at once.
The subconcious, the totality of your brain, is basically a quantum computer. If you tell it you want to achieve a goal, it will work with all of the information available to it at the time to achieve this goal.
The question is, how do you communicate what you want to your subconcious, and how to you learn to get the hell out of your own way and make it happen?
Its not “Wish craft.” Simply wishing isn’t good enough, and arranging objects on an altar without a real understanding of the biological and psychological process involved isn’t going to make it happen.
Its simple. You learn to speak the language your mind has developed over the years through its experiences.
Dream journaling is the easiest, simplest, and least complex way of starting this dialogue with your own mind. You don’t gotta worship Zeus or YVHV or summon The Goddess of whatever to do your bidding. (You can use those images if it helps.) Your own personal mythology of your life experiences is more than sufficient and powerful enough to create the desired effect.
So, there’s the you that is reading this, then there is the you that is the sum totality of your mind, that operates very much like a computer.
anyway, I am getting off track. I will post my method later on this evening.
